5,000 hours and now I'm taking a break

Post » Tue Aug 06, 2013 6:45 am

I passed 5,000 hours on Skyrim yesterday and I have just bought Dishonored, Dark Souls, Halo CE anniversary and Hitman Absolution.
I bought 3 games last week. Tomb raider (newest one) and I finished it in 1 day. I think its an amazing game. I also bought Fallout 3 Goty edition and got bored of it quickly but finished the Main quest and all DLCs. I bought Far Cry 3 which is quite boring and I cant be bothered with it anymore.

I hope the 4 I bought today will keep me away from Skyrim for atleast 3 weeks.
I will probably be playing a bit of Skyrim every few days just to finish my newest character and then I will be away from it for a while.
I have 5,008 hours but I will just put it down to 5,000 because when I come back to playing Skyrim (only), I will count my hours played a little easier.

I am not leaving the forums.

I take breaks all the time. I'm playing Fallout 3 right now. But I'll be back in Skyrim before long. ;)

YOU AGAIN?! 5008 hours?! But they were 3000 or so a month ago..and you said you've done everything more than once. How? HOW? 110 hours in my save and I already have almost nothing to do..

Ignore them. Live your life how you wanna. I say 5000 hrs on the greatest game ever (IMO) was well spent.

Congrats on spending nearly 209 days of your life purely playing Skyrim  I got bored after 200 hours

EDIT:

100% agree with this statement, but the greatest game ever is different. I'm not judging you, just surprised you had that many things to do in Skyrim with so few mods out!

I do however have a PM of you telling me you logged 4600 hours just 18 days ago on July 17th. 18 x 24 = 432, so you spent just 32 hours eating, sleeping, drinking and using the bathroom?

I don't like liars. :stare: Explain yourself.

That's awesome. I take a two month long break after about a hundred hours in Skyrim, but that's because I get a new game and spend all my time on that. :P But I always come back to Skyrim. :)

Get Dragon's Dogma. That game's fun, and should keep you away from Skyrim for at least a month. :D

4,600+ I said in the PM. It was nearly 4,700. B)

Edt: I dont have anything else to do. I just play on the xbox and never go out.

Challenge for you - when you come back, log at least 2K hours with ONE character. No glitching up to level 100+ in a day.

I took a break for like 6 months, but now I don't know why or how I did it. I just lost interest and started playing nba 2k13 and skate 3, really does seem ludicrous now. If I could get those 6 months back I'd play skyrim so hard in them.

I guess? I thought you RP'd? But if that's how you want to do it, okay by me.

I do roleplay but 2,000 hours and only 1 or 2 guilds is impossible for me.
I will still roleplay on that character but I will do everything.

If you take a break after 5000 hours, you're fired. The break is unauthorized, so if you leave your post, you've been warned of the consequences.

HR will be notified of your decision.

As a reminder: we don't re-hire ex-players of Skyrim. We urge you to consider your decision carefully. If you need assistance, please notify your supervisor on record.

And if that doesn't get you, peer pressure from the forum will. :P

In all seriousness, though: I'm rather surprised you haven't taken a break before this point. That's far too long to play the same game repeatedly.

Pics or this never happened. Although it's not difficult to edit the gameplay time. I just don't see how someone could spend 5000 hours on a game and still have stuff to do :P

I cant et a pic to prove it.
I have done everything but I love the game and it is replayable even after doing everything.

So you seriously never run into anything you haven't seen before? When was the last time you saw something new?
