I love it when games pass 100 days before launch,

it makes me feel I'm in the home straight...

Do you expect Bethesda will ride the hype train that exists?

Or pump up the pressure with more stuff?

I don't see any other RPG heavyweights releasing at the same time

so could Bethesda keep things spoiler light, or will they splurge with marketing?

I suspect they will keep things low after gamescom, sticking to interviews and that series of SPECIAL videos Todd mentioned at Quakecon.

If I ever see the Bethesda Hype Train again, it'll be far too soon. Skyrim's hype train, TBH, was well over the top in what was necessary in order to advertize their newest game.

Advertisemant is just fine, but when you hype things like with Skyrim, it tends to put people off sometimes.

I'm perfectly find with the low key approach to FO4 so far. When the time comes, I'll most certainly be happy, and play the hell out of the game. Until then, life goes on as usual.

Killed by a cougar with a chainsaw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nygAKxdTwPo

I feel Bethesda will keep tight wraps on the game until release :sadvaultboy:

While I personally want more of the hype train. I guess I went through that "Grumpy Smurf" phase and I actually want to be excited about something for a change. I am very excited about this and, barring something that majorly spoils the game for me, looking forward to any additional bits of information to be dropped here and there.

Yep,.. It's my only reason for really hoping there's an afterlife.... ( In my afterlife every game ever made, past, present and future, exists there. )

I have a big trip coming up.. lots of flying, driving.. lots of ways to die. I'm not going to feel safe again until I'm actually playing the game.

Yeah that was actually a really cool commercial.

Every time I see it, I get that urge to play the game and hunt dragons. Effective marketing.

I dont mean to be that guy.....but thats a greater than sign not a less than.

Nevertheless I agree there is something about that 100 day mark...

Edit, and just because I struggled with it in HS. The way you remember is Less than looks like an L :)

Not to be a pedant, but...

It's only 2 hours into August 3rd here and by my reckoning it is now 100 days until Fallout 4. Not less than 100.

Just sayin'.

I'm actually not excited either, because hype kills games, so I avoid it.

There's a fine line between being excited and being hyped.

If you deny yourself excitement, you run the risk of becoming one of those Eeyore gamers.

Of course I don't want to be spoiled with story or more setting, but I would love to see some different gameplay approaches, preferably in the same areas, we already have seen.

Gameplay has been heavy on Action and VATS, how about showing some stealth gameplay? Show of one stealthy armor and a couple of stealthy weapons, to ensure that they have improved the stealthplay from F3, even Skyrim! Yeah.. I like stealth and it was severely lacking pre-Skyrim in BGS games(especially F3).

It would seem that Zenimax is playing the advertising campaign much closer to the vest this time. We still don't know what the main story thread is! We know a lot of familiar stuff is returning, and we've a seriously beefed up crafting system. The voiced PC is really the only unexpected twist.

At this point I'm not sure I'm buying the game on release, cause I'm not seeing anything that looks new or that is taking the series somewhere interesting. Improved tools doesn't mean an improved game in and of itself. I'd like to know more about the game than we've currently seen before I buy it.
