100% spell cost reduction -- is it possible?

Post » Mon Dec 05, 2011 4:04 am

Is it possible to enchant a robe with 100% spell cost reduction? And possibly a 500% mana regen rate, or something. Curious; it'd be a good project.

Yes it's possible. I did it last week.

It's also possible to enchant + melee damage and get a bajillion damage per swing.

I'e seen this done with weapons yeah, just wasn't sure if it was possible with mana regen etc. Could you please guide me in the right direction or how I'd go about this? ]

Thanks for the help.

PS: Sorry for lack of spelling, one of my keys is broken...

You might have to do 25% reduced cost on 4 different pieces, but it's possible according to the forums.

wth 100 enchanting and all the central line of perks yes.
well not just on the robes you have to use enchants in more pieces than just robes. but yes its possible.

Ik its possible for it to happen i haven't done it yet but i can see how at 100 enchanting with double enchants. a ring alone you can Double enchant for 25-30 destro reduction then robes for something between 15-30 and i believe you can on a necklace also for another 25-30 and depending on helms you can get anywhere between 15-40 i believe.

So at the low end with Certain Quest Robes at 15 and ring+neck+ a mask or helm= 80-90 Just gotta level up enchanting. I hit 32 and while my damage is good and i have like 550 mana with huge Mana Regen it seems you regen more out of combat and Expert Level Destro spells empty me super fast

It should be noted that it's impossible to do it for general reduction. But you can do it for a single school.

You also cannot put two of the same enchantments on one single item.
But you can enchant a ring with destruction cost reduction and fortify magicka, for instance.

Thanks for the guidance. I don't -- by the way -- plan on using this to make the game easier and run about facerolling, I just think it'd be a fun project :).

Can you improe an existing enchant? Or simply re-enchant with an imrpoed enchant? Haha

You can add Enchants i believe(im not 100 yet) but ik you can't Replace Enchantments on Old items.

Im not going to Go to the Full 100% but i also am playing on Master where if i get hit once i die lol so I want to get around 70% reduction then stack on Regen and Mana. While it seems like alot the Expert Spells right now cost about 70/80 for me and im at 550 Magicka. When double casting thats what 3-6 casts then stand around and shoot my bow hoping i don't get hit? Im using My Aoe Fireball because i can Actually consistently Stagger and its fun casting spells!

The reduce magicka enchant is pretty important since they made higher level spells cost ridiculous mana for small gains in effect. Without reduction gear I can get 4 thunderbolts off before running out of mana, with what I use I get closer to 10. i am not fully geard up though, and I never want to go with 0 mana, it feels like a exploit.

The enchants shouldn't stack additively, but multiplicatively and there should be a cap or smaller number of equip slots viable for the enchant.
