108$ FOR A GAME !?.

Post » Thu Mar 27, 2014 9:56 pm

Seriously WTF. Since when did gaming become something that only people with salary should be able to afford?.

A year ago you could get a game for 40-60$, and now you're doubling the cost of it. AND then add the sub-fee after

one month of gaming.. I don't care if different countries has different tax-laws or whatever, you need to apply your

game-prices to the market accordingly, not leech even last cent off of your elderscrolls-fans and supporters.

I live in Sweden and i had to pay almost TWICE as much for my digital Imperial edition then my friends from the states,

talk about mistreatment and favorism.

I agree it svcks, but I don't really think you can blame a game maker for exchange rates and taxes.

Yeah, sorry it's not a matter of favoritism. A large part of your enhanced expense is determined by local and regional taxes and has nothing to do with hoe much the manufacturer is actually charging.

The way I look at it, if I can get 1 hour of play for every dollar I invest, then its money well spent. TESO is undoubtedly going to get you more then 108 hours of play, so meh.

Plus laws and taxes. Just deal with it or complain to your government for imposing such things.

With inflation, comes a rise in price of games. nothing is getting cheaper these days obviously. And fyi, the game does cost 60.00 dollars for the original edition, but if you want more, then simply pay for the imperial edition. While your entitled to your opinion, complaining about how prices are just because you cant afford it isnt the way to go.

I paid 120 for my imperial edition. so idk what your talking about.

I dont know how prices are in sweden or if your paying a ton extra for the original edition or what. but if you arent, then i stand by what i said above.

btw, with the way inflation is, were lucky were still paying 15.00 a month to even play MMO's. im suprised its not like 25 bucks now a days. consider yourself lucky imo

OP there are deals out there from gamefly where you could have spent $64.00 for the Digital Imperial Edition. GMG for the US and Gamefly for the UK/Europe have the same deal.

Except it doesn't make other companies charge us twice as much. Even Skyrim was £29.99 at release on PC for me, yet this game was £49.99. It's a huge jump compared to the standard price of games we usually pay for. I can fully understand where the OP is coming from.

It DOES.

Because i bought my game from the BETHESDA site, which should have sold the game to me for 64 $

on their site, and i don't care what excuses they have. When Bethesda's side automatically sends me

to a totally different way to payment with TWICE the price, the error is on their hands.

I bought it up before but EU tax is different to US most companies do a 1:1 ratio. O and digital versions cost more because of tax again.

Geting the normal for 35£ and upgrade it if it's 15-20£

No actually it doesn't if they have agreement based upon your location they have to live up to it because they are responsible for paying the taxes. I agree it svcks, but they don't make the laws, they have to abide by them.

mistreatment on the part of the swedish government. Zenimax is charging you the same amount they charged everyone else. Not their problem that you live in a socialist state.

and what with the price of gas? I remembering paying 19 cents a gallon when I was in High School.

What about for a pound of bread? It was 10 cents.

The minimum wage was 65 cents and hour. Look at it now.

I remember paying...
