1080p and 30 fps on all platforms

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 10:29 am

Tell me this does NOT apply to PC?

That would be the craziest thing I have ever seen in my 20 years of life in gaming.

1440p is basically the new standard on PC now. A 1440p monitor like most of us have can't even play 1080p properly, it is BLURRY as hell.

So 1080p forced mean I can't even play this game. Second at 30 fps, WHAT???

A potato can run that resolution and frame rate on a PC.

I understand if this were to apply to the console version, but this is a deathknell for Bethesda on PC if they do this.

Might want to clarify this ASAP.

It doesn't even make sense Bethesda have never frame capped or resolution capped PC ever. It is literally an antithesis of modding as well.

I can understand why framerate might concern people on a competitive multiplayer game, but it does not bother me for singleplayer games at all. A lot of games run at 30fps and I'm completely fine with that. Obviously 60 would be better, but its not going to stop me from purchasing this game or anything.

Take a deep breath, my friend.

First of all, Pete Hines is saying that article may not be true:

Second, we already got a couple of threads for this:

I didn't see any on front page and I'd figure it would be a hot topic and stay there. So I posted.

I saw that tweet and it gives me hope, but why would the magazine online even say this if they didn't get the info from somewhere. Todd Howard no less.

They best clarify it because it is all over the place soon.

No problem, just letting you know about those threads

Anyway, its not uncommon articles do this during a game's hype (Making up info/misconstruing info). Click bait for page views, pretty much.

I remember before Fallout 4 was officially teased, articles everywhere had something to say ("EXCLUSIVE: Fallout 4 date revealed?" "Fallout 4 to feature co-op", etc.)

You should really avoid this clickbait. Has already been said yesterday that nobody ever confirmed this.

I have to say though, it's an amusing one that spread like wildfire.

Hard to avoid when it is starting to appear everywhere.

As I said, Bethesda needs to step out in front of this before it becomes a bad rumor. It makes no sense to limit the PC version but a select few developers have in some games.

If it isn't true, Pete Hines would have stated as much. He didn't. He avoided giving a specific answer. Why? Do you guys actually think Pete Hines has no clue when it comes to something like that? It's literally his job to know that stuff.
