10mm Pistol Prop

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:58 pm

Hi Guys,

After seeing the laser rifle someone made from wood I felt the urge to make my own prop...just not at complicated. So I chose the 10mm pistol.

I've made it from balsa wood, its still a work in progress as it needs painted, things added and sanded down, but I think it's starting to look like the gun in the game.

Here's a link to the picture:

What do you think so far?

That's awesome, really good work. The 10mm is probably my favorite small arm.

This is sort of off topic (and quite random) but your model there reminded me of this.

Does anyone else think this nerf gun:

looks alot like a 10mm? This was brought to my attention by one of my younger brothers.

I think in terms of general shape it sorta does (not color scheme or anything like that of course).

Maybe I'm just seeing Fallout themed items in really weird context's though.

It looks more like the gun your given at the beginning of Rage, but yeah; If I had saw that before now it would definitely of reminded me of Fallout.

Edit: Actually, just checked and it looks a lot more like the 10mm then the one in Rage, my bad.

It does, but it's a revolver so its rather different.

Also how's the prop comign along, its been a little over 12 hours (I think) since you posted 2 hours till you were painting?

The Nerf Maverik remains my most beloved gun of all. I can't tell you how many times I've headshoted AK wielding fools with the all powerful and mighty foam bullet.
