110 hours in..still LOVING IT

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:10 pm

I'm probably about halfway through in terms of MQ and guilds etc, and im nowhere near bored. I see this game like a moving picture, the artwork is astounding, the atmosphere is unmatched, the soundtrack is relaxing and moving at times.

I genuinely get lost in this game sometimes, it soaks me up as I get sidetracked on my way to a quest, and during that session never even make it to the objective I set out to accomplish. Last night I was coming out of the inn at dawnstar and it was perfectly clear, bar a couple of snowflakes, then the sky turned grey as clouds formed and within minutes I couldn't see through the blizzard.

The game is relaxing to me, I can chill on the sofa with the mrs, and soak up the amazing experience Bethesda created.

Cheers!

Agree....it's quite refreshing to play a non-linear game where I am in control vs being a passive viewer of quicktime videos.

Still loving it, role-playing has really been getting fun. At early levels is the best. Stay the night at an inn and adventure about, really great stuff.

On my 2nd character, I haven't touched the main quest or civil war quests. I'm just running around exploring and wow I may never get to those quests! This game is awesome.

135 hours in, still deeply in love with the game, though I had a bad case of restartitis before settling on my bosmer thief who happily is level 32 now.

Agree, way more than 100 hours and I still find new things in the wild and receive mails lead me to quests I've never done before

Totally loving it. Just wandering, doing a bit of RP, but not too heavily. Haven't spoken to Alvor in Riverwood yet, so a pretty empty journal, except for Mics. Quests. Lvl 12 Orc 2-hander Warrior type, visiting all the Strongholds, and just doing stuff in-between. There is always something that grabs my attention. 75 hours total between 2 characters. have a lvl 30 Nord, but gunna delete I think

HERE HERE! Toast this man with some Mead!

I feel the same way bro. I know I haven't even prolly bitten a quarter of the [censored] that is TRULY in this game. (Weapons, Quests, etc.)

I have however beaten the MQ. I find myself exploring now. I had to re-invent my Nord because Oghma consumed my 1st characters soul.. it's all good though I considered him a "test run".

Now I can really focus on my Daedric Shrines. Yay! :D

Bethesda never seems to fail IMHO. I myself as well get distracted and will just sit there and listen to the WONDEROUSLY BEAUTIFUL Music this game has to offer. One of the only games I won't sit there and listen to Rock/Rap or whatever while I'm playing. TES Music > ALL.

@tagle - SAME. I ran into a "Wispmother" TONIGHT out of nowhere traveling around Morthal/Dawnstar/Solitude (The Swamps). I just saw the lil Wisps floating around... then saw HER LIKE WTFFFFF IS SS THATTT!!!!??

Having a lot of fun with this game. Three characters, a Nord Hunter at 18 hours, Altmer Mage at 103 hours, and a Nord Thief at 57. (Had a Nord Warrior but somehow I erased the save.) I know I haven't seen half of the game. There are things I miss about the older games, but I'm not disappointed in how Skyrim turned out at all. Still feels like the Elder Scrolls to me.

Was standing at the cliff of the blades headquarter (you know outside at the training area) for 15 minutes just watching the mountains and the sky turning from evening to night. Clear sky helped with that - it was relaxing hehe

Well met!

Agreed. 70+ hours on my first character, a female Khajiit Adventurer/Spellsword. I still haven't been to several major cities. I'm barely touching the MQ, and I'm turtling the Companions Guild.

I'm saving the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood for my Argonian Thief, the College of Winterhold for my evil Mage, and I want to play a Conan-inspired Nord who just plain adventures and quests for people.

I too get lost on my way to objectives, because I simply get caught up exploring the world with a real sense of wonder and immersion (ugh, that most over-used of words!). The environment and ambience is top notch.

Sure, the game has many flaws, but I'm content to look past them for all of the things that Skyrim does so well.

I can't wait for DLC. And we need Gamer Pics for Xbox 360, Bethesda!

Still enjoying it also, at around 170 hours of gametime. That`s even with playing with patch 1.2 on Xbox version and having a resistless Nord :D

I'm on my second character now, a Khajiit thief. I was really getting into the thieves guild quests when I discovered an alchemist's hut. Inside was a butterfly in a jar. I remembered one of my friends saying he had found a few of them, so I reasoned that there must be more. I started my search.

That was four days ago now. I haven't done a quest since and I haven't found any more butterflies in jars, but I am having a tremendous amount of fun. I love this game.

I got 200 hours spread over 2 characters and still loving it, need to complete these characters off then get a 3rd on the go. Had about 1500 hours on oblivion so i would expect about the same if not more on skyrim.
