Oh yeah! The foxes!

I sure hope they don't go the way of the Falmer.

It's gotta be the playable mudcrab. After all, everyone was talking about them in Oblivion.

People have overlooked some very great candidates.

Kothringi as a Silver skinned human race. However I mean SILVER. They left on a boat to another land and not much is known of them. The silvery skin and mysterious origin would make them different enough to not be JUST another human race.

Also we have many vastly different types of Argonians and Khajiit. Why not make the logical ones playable? Instead of a new race how about some drastic racial variation in the beast races?? That seems like the best solution to me.

I think the Dwemer should NEVER be a playable race. At best they would probably be a good antagonist for a game and they would hopefully look very little like the Dwemer we are familiar with. Preferably, for me anyways, they just never show up.

i strongly agree with no dwemer, if left to their tinkering they might invent firearms

which would be the end of the series

Maormer. They're a stable, adequately populated, non-extinct (As opposed to the Dwemer), non-missing (As opposed to the Lilmothiit), non-obscure (As opposed to the Ayleids) group of civilised beings (As opposed to the Falmer) who have had frequent dealings with Tamriel in the close past (As opposed to the Akaviri, who's dealings have mostly been for war and have not occured in many hundreds of years) and stand on their own as a race (as opposed to, for example, being simpletons who's only desire seems to be to imitate Altmer like the Imga) and also can stand without collapsing under their own weight (as opposed to, for example, the Sload). There is no more perfect race from a realistic standpoint to enter the gameworld as a playable race. Also they ride snakes in the ocean.

To be honest I'd first like to see a few of the races re-organised and de-marketised to their original states, before having another race:

Imperials: What happened to the strict difference between the nibenese and colovians? how did an akaviri rainforest become a fairy land full of romans?

Bretons: http://images.uesp.net/c/c1/Lore-race-Breton.png their current appearence is a far cry from any such detail. One cannot tell the difference between a breton and an imperial, for pity's sake.

Orcs: What happened to the strong racial hatred for them being creatures? or why can't Bethesda allow Orsinium to progress into a province?

Dunmer: Give me back the damn chain smoker voice Bethesda keeps taunting in the alpha versions of the latest games! not an australian or some evil kenevil.

Khajiit: Why do we see mention of these subraces: dagi, cathay, ohmes, tojay, suthay and yet only to be allowed a visage of one subrace?

Argonian: Why do we see mention of these subraces: archein, agaceph, paatru, sarpa, nagas and yet only to be allowed a visage of one subrace?

But at any rate, to be on-topic: I'd like to see an insectoid third beast race. Ideally an even more mutated (yet civilised) falmer that now looks like a chaurus.

They're not there because snobby cape wearing apes are a bad idea, hence why they dont even have proper artwork.

Say that to the millions of people who loved watching the Planet of the Apes movies and seeing those apes with their snobby looking clothes or capes. :lmao:

it should be a beast race and I can only see something of a magical beast for the 11th race.Khajiit are stealth and Argonian are warrior so where is magic? Just got to figure out a beast that screams intelligence!

You mean the Khajiit? They are great thieves and warriors.

As for a more inherently magical beast race? Well there is the Sload I guess. Maybe they readapted themselves after getting their asses handed to them by te All Flags Navy.

One thing that should never be a playable race is any form of undead though. if such a thing has to be in the game it should be a transformation like vampires/werewolves but of course a permanent one that has some rather drastic penalties and benefits. Like -100 speech and having to maintain as illusion in order to talk to NPCs and such.

Well... Do you mean 12th, if going by Skyrim's race system? The Dragons in Skyrim are actually the 11th Race and if you change your race via script on the PC version then you can set your race to '11' which will turn you into a Dragon.

Anyways... Dwemer. They invented Robots! I want them to make a return to Tamriel so they can invent Hand Cannons that shoots Sweetrolls!

Well I wish they would drop a couple races. I still remember when Orcs were a creature, not a race.

We got humans:

Nord - Traditional light skin, blond hair type.
Bretons - Meditrainian or Mid East look
Imperials - Similar to Bretons (maybe they should have made Bretons Asian)
Redguard - Traditional dark skinned, dark hair.

We got elves:

Dunmer - Dark elf (drow)
Altmer - High elf
Bosmer - Wood elf
Orsimer - Honestly, I still wish they were a creature, like goblins.

We got beasts:

Khajiit - Cat man.
Argonian - Lizard man.

I wish they would drop a human race (or make one Asian so there is more variety) and maybe add a new beast race, or nothing.

A few things, one the orsimer aren't savage enough to be considered a creature, there is a huuuuuuge difference between the Drow and the Dunmer in more ways then one and lastly there is believed to have been asian like humans that lived in Akavir.

The Orsimer seel the most "Asian", atleast in Architecture and Armor design.
That is where you are wrong, the orsimer are nowhere near Asian like, closest cultures that have asian influences would be the Akavir and some say that the altmer have kind of a asian architecture example: The Thalmor Embassy.

Well... Do you mean 12th, if going by Skyrim's race system? The Dragons in Skyrim are actually the 11th Race and if you change your race via script on the PC version then you can set your race to '11' which will turn you into a Dragon.

The dwemer are never coming back to Tamriel, only one Dwemer managed to escape the fate of the disappearence and its unknown if he is still alive since the corprus disease he was infected with means he can live forever.

Now there are other sentient races in TES lore, we know that some goblins can be considered sentient and Orsinium did have ogres and goblins living together with orcs but we don't know how they treated the other races. In my opinion the Igma would be a good race but they never leave Valenwood, there are other forms of sentient lizards in black marsh as well as the hist being considered alive and sentient, thus can be considered a race but neither of those will be playable. The falmer are far too gone to be considered sentient and are far too savage, the ricklings of Solstheim could become more friendly to outsides since the Dunmer started inhabiting Solstheim, but I highly doubt it. An akaviri race but again chances are low as for the Maormer and Sload we have no clue about their relationship to the races of Tamriel besides that the Sload use to buy slaves from the Dres in Morrowind.

Buuuuut anyway I doubt we'll see a new race in the TES universe thats playable without modding or using the console.

Though the Beast races are my favorite, I'm quite content with only having 2, I feel adding anymore would ruin it a bit :|

we don't really need any more races in General though, there's not much games that even give you a choice but humans o.o
why ask for more?

"Vet Attack!" The Orsimer, or what you may know them as: Orcs, were savage beasts living in tribes back in before the "Warp in the West". The Warp in the West is a special event that happened after the Hero of Daggerfall did what he supposed to do.. So during the games of Arena and Daggerfall, Orcs were creatures found in Dungeons and attacked any of the other races on sight! What happened is during the Warp in the West Event, an Orc Leader manage to take charge of this artifact (Numidon, did I spell that right?) and he basicly made it so the Orcs became an equal race with the others and thus is why the Orcs are now a friendly race in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.

So... The Orcs were Savage Beasts once but currently are not now.

True but Orcs did have an actual society, they weren't always classed as creatures in TES lore.

Here is the thing.. The Dwemer is a mystery. We don't know the truth at all. We don't know if they died or vanished into another realm. We don't know if it was on purpose or on accident, actually! Some quests in Skyrim/Morrowind supported that the Dwemer were killed but there are some quests in Skyrim/Morrowind supported that the Dwemer vanished into another realm and the Dwemer Machines were programed to protect their homes until they come back.

So we don't know if the Dwemer are gonna ever come back or not.. So don't say something that no one truly knows..Well.. Bethesda knows for sure since they are the ones that controls Tamriel, so to speak.

But they were still classed as creatures. Just not always. That is the thing I am saying.
