0.181 Patch Notes from PTS

Oh, but I'm not.

I know exactly what you're talking about. In fact, I had the same exact problem in a few games years ago.

I realized that they don' want you holding on to all of that crap and moved on with my life.

Seriously.

Pick one craft. Stop hoarding materials for the others. When you get a bunch, use them. Go get more.

This game isn't designed to handle a "crafter only" player type.

This game is making you pick and choose what to keep in your bags. You want to keep everything. Therefore, it's your problem, not theirs.

I had 0 problems keeping up with my crafting materials when I only did blacksmithing.

This will help but I am still concerned by the shared bank space - what would help even more is if there is both shared AND personal bank space so people can create a crafting alt without having an automatically filled bank already.

Make them get the materials for you? Keep it in the guild bank? Make your alts gather the materials for your main?

There is no reason anyone ever is forced to keep eleventy billion tiers of anything in their banks.

I'm going to have to put you on ignore...you either didn't work on professions or you have no clue what you're talking about so it's not worth talking to you or seeing your posts.

the problem isnt that i cant hold onto 2000!!!! of every outdated crafting material, the problem is i cant even hold onto 1 stack of 100 so that i can craft for lower level guildies/friends/alt's

correct they are forcing us to do just the opposite, destroy/sell everything you no longer need for crafting, so that new players will have a harder time finding items to buy from crafters

I did. you're the one not even reading what I'm saying.

And I've given suggestions on how to handle that. Make them bring you materials or stick it in the guild bank.

I personally don't care if they add more space, but I can a) see why they haven't or won't, and B) hate seeing these people whining that they're not getting what they want and that they MUST add this or that feature because "my bags".

I did crafting.

I extensively do crafting in games much more complicated(and do it better than this one mind you) ways. I understand inventory juggling very well, thank you.

What I *don't* understand, is why people insist on being able to hold onto EVERYTHING? Can you not just go "I'm not going to take Provisioning" and then not pick up food goods? Or whats the problem here.

People already aren't going to buy low level items from crafters.

Especially with the miserable way the economy is set up.

I made things I'd use, and then decon'd it when I was done with it. I imagine my alts will do the same thing.

and honestly who really buys and makes that much stuff at low lvl? Just keep playing and lvling and you get drops and quest rewards. Why waste time and gold on stuff you quickly out lvl.

Because some of us like the journey as much if not more than the destination.

Low level materials will be cheap. Do you really need to keep stacks of lower level mats just so you can make a few items for your alts/guildmates? You can store stuff in the guild bank too. If you need mats to make something for an alt, buy them from the guild store or take them from the guild bank. You don't need to keep every tier of every material.

I do love how Carde goes out of his way to post the patch notes and everyone latches onto a single item...

... and that item isn't gutripper and doshia getting nerfed.

No, new players will make stuff themselves and sell to each other, just like you'll do until you reach the higher levels.

They increased the bonus from health enchantments. 1 attribute gives 10 magicka or stamina, but 20 health. Enchantments give 10 of each, so everyone was using their attribute points for health and enchantments for magicka and stamina. The notes said they increased the health enchantments by 50%, which would be 15, unless they made a mistake in the notes and meant 100%. Either way it's an improvement.

you cant store stuff in your guild bank because you cant have a personal guild bank because it requires 10 individual accounts in order to activate the guild bank AND get this if you drop under 10 accounts the guild bank is disabled till you get 10 again

i was not aware we had a personal space in the guild bank

or do you want me to just dump my materials, in a bank 500 people have access to, and hope they are there when i need them?

Oh, good. Hijacked another thread into a bag space issue. Just when I started missing the "moar ability slots!" threads.

And just like ability slots, you have to make choices. You can't have everything and you have to stop playing this game like it's another game.

Not necessarily, it could end up with them being very expensive a few months down the line as no one will have kept hold of any.

In Lotro for example, low levet craft mats sell for a stupidly high price, often much higher than the highest tier, when most people are at end level, it's those mats that everyone has lots of to sell hence it's those mats that some people sell dirt cheap.

Lots of people do, myself included. While I love end game raids etc, I also love the journey there and am in zero hurry to level up.

You seem to be judging everyone on your personal style of play, in guilds I've belonged to we have had all sorts from the hard core raiders who like to get to end level within 48 hrs of an expansion with level increase being released, to players who 2 years after a games been released are still only halfway to end level as they enjoy logging in and crafting for a few hrs etc

PvP players carry around just as much junk as PvErs do, if not more.

Lug around 10 covenant ballistas, fire ballistas, fire trebs, a few meatbag catapults, some stone for repairs, some wood for repairs, oil cauldrons and....that's only a few of the siege types. These are items that take up 1 slot each and break over time when used, and can be destroyed by enemies or abandoned if you die.

PvPers gotta worry about inventory just as much as crafters do in TESO.

I think inventory is fine, though. They maybe could use a trophy/costume and crafting storage area specifically for that stuff, but other than that its good. They start you with more space than any other MMO I know of, have merchants roaming the entire world (near wayshrines there are traveling merchants), and MOST importantly most people around here don't seem to realize that 90% of all crafting mats are extremely plentiful and don't need to be hoarded because you can go out and grab just about anything you need anytime you need it, the only items you should be hoarding are improvement items and a handful of higher end stuff like rank 6-8+ potency runes and the like.
