1920x1080 ?

Post » Wed Feb 18, 2009 2:49 am

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 and fairly good components for the rest of the PC. Is it reasonable to expect that I will be able to run Crysis 2 at a decent level of quality and still run the game at the 1920 x 1080 that I have been running other games at?

ty!

Think the card is 1 gig though not sure where to look to check that.

Also, I have Windows 7 64 bit CPU. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Still, thanks for the replies. I want to see this game.

Yea if you got 1gig you should be good on 1920x1080 on Extreme settings. Should be able to pull at least 30fps which is playable...doubt you'll be pulling 60fps constant though.

You can pull off about 30 fps maxing the game at that resolution. :)

Will dropping the settings down from Extreme to the next settings help? Or, should I be trying a lower res? (How playable is 30 fps?)

here take a look at this video, I have a GTX 460 SLi setup and I am usually getting 80+ FPS but i need better drivers so im waiting on that. BUT i started recording my games with fraps on FULL-SIZE and about 25-30 FPS (i set it at 25 FPS) and well take a look for yourself its not to bad at all....

I uploaded this last night...

I also have a 460 GTX 1 gb with a phenom 2 x4 945 and 4gb of ddr3 ram, and at 1080p it runs about 30fps solid, sometimes higher. But it is always smooth as butter, not had a single framerate issue! :D

30 fps on extreme, with a 2 year old card, shows this is not the best looking game ever made

I'm running a 5850 with an I7 860 2.8GHZ and 8gig of ram at this resolution and I get 30-50 fps (mostly around 30) on extreme and 50-75fps on very high. The only difference I noticed in the settings is the draw distance of some tree leaves in the beginning of campaign.

Asus geforce gts 450 1gb ddr5 gpu
