First off where does it come from? The 200 years thing? Where did that number originate from and why do so many people think Skyrim will take place 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis?

Will it really take place 200 years after the Oblivion crisis? I haven't seen any evidence saying yes Skyrim will take place 200 years after the Oblivion crisis so if there is evidence confirming this where is it?

So discuss and prove to me that Skyrim does in fact take place 200 years after Skyrim

Well about a year ago the information accidentally was released when talking about how IC was to bridge the gap for the next game which was set 200 years after Oblivion. Then GI also said this. Infernal City takes place 40 years after the Oblivion Crisis.
