On an added note, I don't have any problem with Obsidian using guns that wouldn't really be in the region in the game, as long as they're neat. I mean, in Fallout 2, we had access to G11s (which never made it into full production in /Germany/, much less ever reached America), as well as the HK CAWS (which was canceled), and the Pancor Jackhammer (Pancor went bankrupt when only a few prototypes of the Jackhammer existed). But they were all awesome guns, so their inclusion wasn't a problem.

I don't know if this makes a difference but since after the Second World War the Fallout time-line diverges from our own. So taking that, these Manufacturers could have existed in the Fallout time-line but there is no way of knowing since there is little known about other weaponry manufacturers other than West-Tek.

Well, true. But it's never exactly specified /how/ the timeline diverged. It has been theorised the Soviet Union didn't collapse, or reformed by the Resource Wars era, so who knows? If they never broke up, that would easily explain the G11's presence, since it was canned because of Germany's reunification.

So happy the trailer's finally out - I loved it as soon as I saw the first rendition with that audio track. Kudos to all the folks that made that trailer happen!

Yes, it is hard to completely understand it at all, but since it is a different time-line it would be hard to compare ours to theirs. So who knows the G11 and the other weapons that don't exist here may have well indeed existed in the Fallout time line.

Maybe a evil scientist created time paradox during or after ww2 which created an alternative time-line? Kind of like how the chosen one wen through a portal and broke the water chip... After all one of fallout major themes is a series of mad science and their experiments...

Looks very nice! Some high-res AA-used visuals there methinks, which should look scrumptious on my PC. The mood and tone was perfect, the desert looks different and interesting, Vegas looks epic.

Very enthused.

Gods, that was pleasant. It was mainly shooting or blowing stuff up, but the details...
Classic Vault entrance - and yesterday we were discussing whether they'd change that.
Classic styled guns. Lots of vegetation. Really nice looking (and, to me, seemingly more) creature types. New Old Super Mutants. Visual gambling looking great, too.

Obsidian! DO YOUR BEST, DO YOU HEAR ME? ^_^

I recognised the song. I think it was included in the 'GNR: More Where That Came From' mod for Fallout 3. :D

I'm serious I was expecting a bit better, but the sights on the grenade launcher were good.

Also, Is it just me or does New vegas look a little too, clean?

The animations on the anti material rifle(?) were god like though, looks like they finally got their ass in gear in that department

Your sort of right man. As much as I'm looking forward and love New Vegas, it just seems too happy? I don't know, I just can't put my finger on it. It doesn't really remind me of Fallout 3.. But then again, should it?

Not necessarily it should. Beth were aiming more for a back to the roots feeling, with the DC wasteland far behind the development of the West Coast. Obsidian just continues the story of said region, which means people are less survivalist and more focused on rebuilding more and more.

That's an automatic grenade launcher, aka mini grenade machine gun.

@Kieran
Yup, was already mentioned, disassembled arm part of Power Armour. Probably to use the strength enhancements only for that arm.
