When you take a look at the dozens upon dozens of great looking games coming out this year, and the only thing that comes to mind is "casual bullcrap," you may want to reevaluate your status as a "gamer."

I'll love this year. Maybe more than 2010.
I rarely buy new releases, but this year.. I might make an exception.

And I, of course, can't wait until the next Steam Holiday Sale. :D

Obvious troll is obvious. I'm just one of the many people who have realized how much worse gaming is now than it used to be.

That's what happens when you get older and your doctor prescribes you some sentimental eyewear. Every year is worse than the last. But most of don't become negative nellies and keep an open mind and a close eye on niche titles, looking out for things we'll still enjoy.

It's a shame the industry took a shift entirely towards the casual market. And by casual market I mean all of the 12 year olds who play Call of Duty, Halo, Medal of Honor, Mass Effect, etc.

May I suggest re-reading the forum rules? Especially the parts about trolling and flaming.

7. Flaming is not allowed.

Insulting individuals or groups of members and name calling are flames. Any remark that is made to insult another member or group of members will be considered a flame and thus you may receive a warning for it.
Calling people a troll or an apologist for instance can both be considered a flame as can calling someone stupid or ADD. Attacking Xbox players, PS3 players or PC players is not allowed and calling them "console kiddies" or in anyway indicating someone is in some way a lesser person because of their choice is considered a flame here.

Aaaaaaand with this quote, the thread's underlying purpose shows, and it stays closed.

Also, many of you know better - if you think a thread is a problem, report it. Do not start tossing around accusations of trolling - let the moderators sort it out. We can and do warn for that.
