Food Services is bigger than Bethesda. You mean food is more important than Skyrim? I THINK NOT...

I'm not holding my breath for too much. They are only letting out little bits at a time and im getting a little suspicious. The fans Q&A is a bit suspect too, they will prob hand pick the questions they want but i hope not.

It was a little suspect when the GI podcast made the questions seem as though they had come from a variety of fans, which they may well have, but again hand picked to be asked. The reason i say this is that every mag has seemed to ask the same questions....

This. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but with rare exception, if you followed every single gaming news report about Skyrim since Feb. you'd notice that they all act like they have new information but its almost the exact same. And yes, every time they have "questions" from fans, but how is it they keep coming up with the same questions? I have a slight fear that Beth is a little behind schedule. I don't think that it'll delay the game, 11-11-11 is suppose to have some meaning (course that might just be forum talk) but that does increase the chance for bugs and other content that was suppose to be launch ready but instead gets bumped to DLC.

I just read a gameinformer article about announcing games too early for hype and overestimating the time you have left til launch is the fastest growing and biggest problem in the gaming industry as far as developers go. And we can all tell, how many of our favorite games have been pushed back, and usually more than once?

Announcing too early? They announced less than 12 months before release. That's actually quite a late announcement.

Late announcement... FOR the industry. I can't even count on both hands anymore how many major games have been delayed lately, and I'm sorry but that just says that the gaming industry as a whole is wrong, not that its ok to announce so early. Not that its going to change.

And ok, but still, even when they were discussing aspects of the game, yes I appreciate the fact that the devs are keeping their minds open to new ideas that they might think of, but it seemed like every feature, even if its a confirmed feature, was "it will work like this and we plan on it doing this". I get that its only natural that nothing about the game is finished, but it almost felt like they want the game to do certain things but they don't even know how their going to get it to do those things. The only feature I've heard absolute confidence in is the dragons, it seems based on the way Todd talks about them that they are pretty much finished and now they're still working on them, but only to add all the bells and whistles. Thats great but...

What do you want? For them to announce 6 months before release next time?

And you've only heard confidence in the Dragons? Seems to me like they are very confident in Skyrim to me. Todd seems very confident in his interviews.

Its a distraction, they would have to take time to make the port taking away from any DLC.Then Nintendo might feel entitled to any future TES or FO game, which again will only take away form the full version.
Seemed to have worked out alright porting Oblivion over to the PS3 a year after it's initial release.

And the ps3 version was plagued with glitches and never received all the DLC. Besides the 360 and PS3 are similar, moving the game to a motion control would take a ton of work.

The versions that didn't have a game breaking glitch like permanent vampirism.

That can be prevented from happening though. But yes, once it happens your screwed.

Oh, and the 360/PC versions have a game breaking glitch too.

Glitch of doom that causes animations to freeze like spells and opening doors among others. It will completely break your game. It's on all platforms and to this day has never been fixed. It never will be fixed. There's Youtube videos showing what it does. Just type in A Bomb Oblivion glitch.

Happened to me once on Xbox. Not fun.

One thing is for certain: Bethesda likes to have over the top booths. Remember last year when they had the Novac Dinosaur for Fallout New Vegas? That was all sorts of awesome, and I'd definitely like to see something on that scale again. Question is, which game will take the cake? Rage, or Skyrim? Could be either. Rage is the closest release, they might want to push that out more, but Skyrim is the most anticipated game and this will be the only time it sees the light of day at an E3. Rage already got best of show last year for a few things I think.

Also, any word yet on the strange symbol? Any at all? I am really curious.

Skyrim better have more of a focus than RAGE at E3. They've show plenty of RAGE already.
