Announcing too early? They announced less than 12 months before release. That's actually quite a late announcement.
Late announcement... FOR the industry. I can't even count on both hands anymore how many major games have been delayed lately, and I'm sorry but that just says that the gaming industry as a whole is wrong, not that its ok to announce so early. Not that its going to change.
And ok, but still, even when they were discussing aspects of the game, yes I appreciate the fact that the devs are keeping their minds open to new ideas that they might think of, but it seemed like every feature, even if its a confirmed feature, was "it
will work like this and we
plan on it doing this". I get that its only natural that nothing about the game is finished, but it almost felt like they want the game to do certain things but they don't even know how their going to get it to do those things. The only feature I've heard absolute confidence in is the dragons, it seems based on the way Todd talks about them that they are pretty much finished and now they're still working on them, but only to add all the bells and whistles. Thats great but...
