Ahh E3... a time where all of us geeks can... you know what, im not even going to bother making it sound sprinkly this time.

E3. A time where developers all around the world come together to humiliate themselves. A time where ridiculous gimicky products are announced. A time where, instead of getting trailers for highly anticpated games everyone is looking forward to.. we get... the... the... grr.. THE BREATHING GAME! AND HOW CAN WE NOT FORGET ABOUT THAT GOD DARN BEASTIALTIY PROM-







So, since E3 is about... what.. 19 days away, I think its that time of year again to begin speculating and discussing what we expect. Personally, im not getting my hopes up for anything this time around after last year. I am somewhat looking forward to Nintendo showing off there new console. I have high hopes that it will go back to a style of gaming we are all used to, while adding new things to it. The touch screens on the controllers have me interested.

Another something I am hoping to see is maybe a announcement for Goldensun:Dark Dawn's sequel.

What about you guys? What are some game announcements you are hoping will happen, some gameplay you want to see, and some things you are afraid will happen this year at E3?

On the hardware front:

Project Cafe - Hopefully the controller isn't too wacky, with its rumored touchscreen, camera and buttons.
NGP - Maybe they'll finally start calling it the PSP2.
Dreamcast 2 - It's gonna happen, right Sega? Shenmue III, Panzer Dragoon, Phantasy Star V and Comix Zone II as launch tiles you say? Can't wait!

As for game announcements, I'm holding out hope for The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles from Nintendo of America. Also looking for a Valkyria Chronicles III announcement, as Sega has been very hush hush about it and I'm afraid it might not be localized. Maybe a Prince of Persia '08 sequel from Ubisoft (you did have an achievement named "To Be Continued.."). Now a few long shots: Chrono Break, Seiken Densetsu 5, Persona 5, Star Ocean 5, Metroid: Other M 2 (hey, I liked the first darn it), Grand Knight History localization.

Second, since the 3DS is out, I want Nintendo to make another side-scrolling Metroid game like Zero Mission and Fusion. I think it would be awesome....and the only game I would buy a 3DS for. And since the Wii 2 is apparently being announced, maybe Retro Studios can go back and make another first-person Metroid game. If the Wii 2 has any of the stuff it's rumored to have, a new Metroid would be bad ass.

Hopefully they'll have something for Grand Theft Auto V, Modern Warfare 3, Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 3...ah screw it, there's too many.

Anyway most anticipated games are Skyrim, ME3 (I'm assuming this is being shown even though it was pushed back :shrug: ), RAGE and GTA V. I'm also interested in seeing Fifa 12.

Yeah, it'll almost certainly be the main focus of Blizzcon. It would be nice if they'd surprise everyone at E3 and whip out a playable demo and showed off some new stuff. Would probably be the biggest highlight of E3.

Also, only waiting since they've announced it? I've been on the D3 bandwagon since 6 months after D2 released and rumors started flying about D3.
