And that's fine but Skyrim should have a stand alone version for those who don't use Steam as well as a Steam version for those that do. I hate it when game companies cut corners and/or play favorites, just because there's those that use Steam doesn't mean EVERYONE uses it and buying a $60.00 game that I can't play because of a DRM that says I need an account that I don't support doesn't cut it.

I wish Bethesda would make a standard non-Steam version and have it to where those who have bought the Anthology version can mail in their disk for a non-Steam version and be able to play Skyrim without having to have a Steam account, I would do it in a heartbeat and I wouldn't mind paying for the shipping and handling fee.

I don't have an interest anymore, it seems to be a lot of stuff I'll never use nowadays. But, it doesn't mean I won't slightly follow it, I gotta get my Uncharted PS4 news somehow.

I wouldn't say "bad", exactly. But like Toaster said: "flat and uninteresting". Like vanilla ice cream; nice, but nothing special. It just needs some toppings :hehe:

Anyway, i would imagine Fallout 4, or whatever BGS is working on (i think i have heard rumors suggesting it might actually not be a Fallout nor a TES ), to be announced this year. Maybe not this event, but still this year.

One thing I don't expect is Mass Effect 4. I think EAware wants to market the Hell out of DAO before they market the Hell out of ME4. So don't expect ME4 until at least the next E3.

Can someone please explain WHY the steam-haters don't just turn it off when they aren't using those games? I mean seriously, what's wrong with it? All I ever hear is "I don't use itz!"
I took my computer on holiday with me and was able to access the games over the course of an internet-free week. It's not internetz always-on required, and I can understand if companies want to reduce piracy.
Plus, the chat and overlay are handy. I use it for communicating with my friends as well as gaming, and the Steam store has some great sales. Ever heard of the Steam Summer Sale?

I shouldn't have to use a third party service plain and simple.

I understand the sentiment. That said, our choice is to use what the publisher has chosen to use or not buy the game. There's no "should" or "shouldn't have to." It's their product...they can do whatever they want.

It has to be on when you actually want to play those games. It also has to regularly connect to the internet for those games to be played, and if that ever goes off, you're gonna' have problems. Yes, there is an offline mode, but it only lasts for two weeks before it has to phone home again. And honestly...not everyone gives a [censored] about chat, achievements, trading cards, or even sales.

I don't. I only do GoG or DRM free. I would never be a slave to Valve.

Lets not derail into talking about Steam. We have a steam/drm thread for that, which is probably the worst thread on these boards to be honest. I advise everybody, looking at you jack, to moderate your messages for they only can derail the thread further. If you want to talk about valve/steam I don't want to see it in this thread. For it is agitating to see it everywhere I look.

Edit: yeah better not derail the thread actually.

I hope games are announced. I am saying this with seriousness along with being a smart alack, too. This expectation never fails because people always announce games at E3.

My only hope is that SEGA will announce a western release for Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 1&2 HD. But they won't :(

Oh right, it would be absolutely lovely if Konami announced a Suikoden VI too, but again, they won't :(

A little bit. I read somewhere that Naughty Dog said that it wasn't effecting Uncharted's development, but I have this feeling it will. It may just be something small like a delay, or something large such as cut features or shortened story. But then again, it is Naughty Dog and they have this high quality standard to uphold.

Sometimes the Offline mod does not work. It only works about 50% of the time for me. It has gotten better in the past year for me. Since before it was close to 100% that it did not work. I always have the store the account information on the local computer and I only have the one computer. Sometimes a message pops up stating offline mode is not available and that I have to connect online. I check the settings and it still shows everything is set for storing the data and then change it back to offline mode and hope that it works when I play.

Yes Steam has some nice features but some of us do not like those features like chat and overlay.

Do I hate Steam. I would say no. Do I like it, I would say no as well. It is something I just have to use if I want to play some games.

I think everyone gave up on Fallout 4 after that survivor website crushed our spirits.

Looks like Xbox one will officially have a kinect-less version to buy of the xbox one, Microsoft has a chance to turn the tides if they give it everything they've got at E3.

Curious to see how sony will react to the Xbox One being the same price as the ps4 now.

Nah there's always been a small enclave of regulars on these forums before and after thesurviver2299, but as for more mainstream media and casual fallout fans maybe.
