Today was the first official day of E3, no? I think we still have tomorrow and Thursday.

Well, the store page on Steam for Nuka World already has an option to pre-order it for $19.99. Seems fairly solid to me.

Yeah, they presented Gwent as a new standalone game, which was exactly what I asked for in the previous thread. This pleases me. :tops:

As for Sony's conference I liked finally getting a release date for The Last Guardian as well and what looks to be a Spider-Man game that may turn out really good for once after so many years. Besides that, nothing else really interested me. Nice to watch one game presented after the next though.

Resident Evil 7

Wow! I'm so glad they are going back to the horror roots.

I believe they just said "autumn 2016."

Yes, but in a very good way :P

No. Way too early for that, Cyberpunk 2077 is years away.

They honestly shouldn't have announced it when they did.

Yeah, I have a really bad feeling that because they announced it so early, it's going to build up to an astronomical level of hype, and then no matter how good the game is, even if it's GoTY unanimously, it's just not going to live up to peoples expectations.

It is also priced that on the Bethesda.net page about the three new DLCs https://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/fallout-4-contraptions-workshop-vault-tec-workshop-and-nuka-world/2016/06/12/146

ESO has never been fully commited to one identity, it's always been torn between open world TES and a faction-based MMO. It's just moving more and more towards the first one, but this split was baked in base design even back at launch. The problem is that it's not the best of both worlds kind of blend, but it weakens both sides instead.

The story and PvP suffer - the story is heavily based on the faction conflict, but what do factions even mean when you one day you work for Emeric, the next you travel halfway across the world to disrupt the Covenant's operations, the third you're hailed as the hero of the Redguards? And how do you feel any immersion in the Cyrodiil great war against the same guildies you quest and dungeon-delve with daily?

Don't get me wrong, these aren't new problems and I'm not necessarily against One Tamriel; I'm just disappointed that ESO tried to be two things at once and never managed to be truly great at anything. One Tamriel won't be "the sandbox we all wanted" either, it will be riddled with holdovers from the old system and never quite there, not like it would be if it was designed this way from the ground up.

Welp, that is as official as official gets. Now we wait and see what it entails.

Indeed. I feel games such as No Man's Sky and a lot of Ubisoft games have this issue as well. You announce a game way too early and keep the audience waiting for too long and it is never going to live up to the hype that generates for that period of time. Probably the reason why a Half Life 3 will never happen at this point.

Again, the reason why I praised how Bethesda did it with Fallout 4. Officially announce the game and then present it in a proper, near finished state. Then have it release in a few months. It generates a healthy amount of hype for the game by having fans know that they will be able to play a game soon enough rather than have them wait years.

So after E3 the only games that interest me are Battlefield 1, MW Remastered and Forza Horizon 3.

Seeing that gameplay footage of iw softened me towards it a little. It might be ok but I'll wait a while after its release.

Same here, but I still want MW immediately. My dilemma is a ferocious one.

Not sure if I'll buy it digitally or get a physical copy but uh, hype!

That game comes out 2077, m8. Hence the date in the title. :teehee:

When it comes to that Cyber Punk 2077 it's likely just the Witcher 3 re-skinned in a scifi theme.

What does Cyberpunk 2077 have to do with E3 2016? It wasn't even shown off or discussed.

And it will be more than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt re-skinned into a scifi video game.
