"Especially if they spent just as much money on the game originally." - if not, more.

Yes, I was pretty ho-hum about it. Though for Dishonored fans, I would think they would be pretty excited after seeing that last bit.

So does anybody know when Take Two Interactive will be partaking in any of the conferences? They don't seem to have their own event, so I'm assuming their presenting something with someone else.

From what I understood it's not like that. They're removing the level caps that seperate players and will now allow you to play with anyone, at any level, with any faction.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Especially the F4 DLC. I mean, wow, 2 locations? I get that they're supposed to huge and whatnot, but Fallout 3 gave us new areas with each DLC if I remember correctly. And all this building crap......ugh. Minecraft seems to have influenced Fallout in a horrible way, imo.

The Skyrim remaster is just a huge ball of nope for me. I don't want to play that game again so I'll pass. I guess this is good for any console players who've never played Skyrim or gave their old consoles up and now miss the game.

Dishonored 2 looks pretty freaking cool though. However.....I have yet to play the first one..... :blush2:

Spoiler

I wouldn't put it past the Outsider to let her out just to make things in the Isles more interesting.

Seems to be some confusion about one Tamriel. Here's Matt Firor's post about his E3 comments. Maybe that will clear up some concerns. :)

I'm still confused by the level scaling of NPC's and loot if loot is level scaled or not.

Characters will have their level scaled the same way that we currently scale players to the level of DLC zones (Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood).

If you can provide a better explanation it will be much appreciated.

So if I'm level 10 and I go to places where there is level 20 NPC's will they go scale down to level 10? Or if I'm level 40 will they scale up to level 40? Or will their level still remain level 20 no matter what?

Loot does loot even scale or not in The Elder Scrolls Online?

They had better fixed all or given that this is Bethesda, 90% of the bugs too.

Particularly ones such as the lip syncing bug since even the Unofficial patches cannot fix that.

Though we should expect a couple "last minute" delays.

So 3137?

Zones cannot be scaled because there are players of different levels inside them at all times.

How it works currently: you walk into a DLC zone at level 10. All enemies are CP160 - let's call it level 66 for the purposes of this conversation. Your raw stats are scaled up; you have more health, magicka, weapon power etc. This gives you a chance to quest and survive there. But you still have only your level 10 skills, so you're noticeably less powerful than another player with maxed out passives, a wide range of unlocked actives and a customized armor set. This is particularly visible in PvP and group dungeons; if you try to tackle, say, vet Imperial Prison at level 20, even scaled up, you'll get melted.

Loot scales to your level. Before you ask: no, it doesn't mean you will miss out on powerful unique items because you got them too soon and now they're too low level to be useful later. 99% of what you loot while questing is decon trash - good temporary equipment, but not something you want to use forever. The really good items come from crafting and specific activities, most of which you won't start doing regularly until you're near the level cap anyway.

No [censored]. BGS considers 2 1/3 DLCs and three mods an intern did on his coffee breaks are worth 60€?
Ow, i laughed my ass off again.

Oh well, live and learn. Complete editions from a 50%+ sale from now on ^_^

I'm glad now I held off on buying fallout 4 period. My thinking was I can wait a couple years to get the entire goty edition on sale after the hype is over. Also being a fan of RPG games first and foremost, I already wasn't happy with the direction of the franchise.

But I'm glad I didn't pay the overpriced season pass for some glorified mods. It's like horse armour, but worse.

At least they are bringing mods to consoles now though.

Wow i'm very disappointed that we get 2 crappy wasteland workshop dlc's and 1 mediocre $10 Nuka-World DLC as the finale. This may be the first time Bethesda fails in the DLC department for the fallout games. :(

It's not going to end up like Far Harbor, people speculated it's going to be Automatron like DLC back when far harbor released. I'm already upset that those DLC's are legit, I feel bad for anyone who bought the season pass at $49, they dropped the ball here.

You forgot the Horse Armor DLC and the 8 other DLC's they were selling for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion back in 2006 and 2007? This is their second time people are upset at the DLC's they are selling.

Sadly, I think those 8 DLC's are far better than the last 3 dlc's we're getting right now for fallout 4 because at least they're more than 2($5 dollar workshop dlc's) and 1($10 automatron like DLC). Those dlc's(baring from horse armor here) gave new locations, mini-quests, ways to counteract the vampire cure quest(which is plagued on the PS3 version thanks to bethesda shivering isles dlc, which makes it not possible to complete) and things that make the game better in the gameplay department ON TOP of Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles, two well regarded expansions.

Yes Automatron is a fun DLC and adds new robots and robobrains, yes a DLC for wasteland workshop was needed BUT the last dlc's should have been far harbor, 2 more automatrons and 1 last Far Harbor Esque DLC and that's it.

The fact is, mod support is finally here on consoles we do NOT need 2 more wasteland workshop dlc's. Leave that to mods.

To me the point of an RPG is to develop your character. This goes beyond how many extra 0's you can tack on to your damage, and into their personality, what they do and how they fit into that world.

first off, I am going to admit I was mistaken.. I did not expect them to announce a Skyrim Remaster..

I guess its good for the console goers, and the free upgrade for us PC users who own it and the DLC was a nice olive branch (although, i have a very good idea of the ulterior motive behind it being a free upgerade)

biggest surprise for me though, not that it was announced, but a certain level of hypocrisy i have seen it trigger on a few websites.. people who I often see complaining about games like CoD/AC/Mario "being the same game every release" because of the major similarities each title share, now seems to be praising the sky for this remastered Skyrim, which is actually the same game..

to each their own i guess haha

over all though, E3 hasn't impressed me to much so far, which i guess is good because it means my backlog may not grow to much :P..

I had hopes for the New Mass Effect, but from what i have seen I am not impressed, from what I saw it doesn't "feel" like a Mass Effect game, this whole "new galaxy" thing rubs me the wrong way as it seems to separate it to much from the franchises established universe.. if they wanted a more "exploration" based game, it could still have been done in the Milky way, count how many stars exist in our galaxy and compare it to how many we visited in the first three games, there was still much more to discover!

and i wonder how much that new console Microsoft announced (project Scorpio) is going to retail for, because those are some pretty hefty specs for a console.. I wonder what Sony will launch to serve as competition, considering the PS4 has been vastly outselling the Xbox One..

Right but where was the outrage of Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 1, Devil May Cry 4, Sleeping Dogs DE, Tomb Raider DE, The Last of Us, God of War 3, Darksiders 2 deathinitive edition.....etc of these titles being the same? Because last I check many people were incredibly happy to get these remasters and now that Skyrim one of the biggest Elder Scrolls Game in 2011 is getting polishing with better visuals, performance and more important mod support, people are not allowed to be praising the sky because their favorite RPG is coming back with mod support for the first time for Elder Scrolls Games on the home consoles?

THAT RIGHT THERE is justified enough to be hyped up for Skyrim. Whether or not the game is technically the same the mods is a huge game changer and if the remaster is $30 I will buy it instantly. I've been one of the few people on this site who was constantly talking about a Port to PS4 with mod support because I was pissed that I couldn't get the vampire hood(recolored cowl) on my vampire character who sided with Volkihaar because Bethesda were clowns and left that exclusive to Dawnguard faction, that cowl is not something that should be exclusive to that faction. It's a Black colored Cowl and it's unique with it saying vampire hood. That should be a clothing apparel everyone should get regardless of faction choice. >_>

We Happy few? I thought it was alright. I'm guessing half of the game involves escaping the mental clinic thingy though. Might get it.....might.
