So something big must be coming then. From 2020 to 2023 to 2047.

Anyone else pondering the big gaps?
Will we see an expansion covering the aftermath of lingshan and the survivors of the incident? Or explanations for the time gaps.

I'm asking myself about this, anyway I'm not gonna be thinking about this until 2013, I'll wait someone to do this. lol Btw hope nobody says "blah, blah, blah, Nanosuit 1.0 was way better than NS 2.0" and etc. Crysis 1 got some cool things but if you try to compare the 1st suit with the 2nd... Then please kill yourself. The 1st one was just so slim. I mean... It was slim so think about who's inside it. lol And the Nanosuit 2.0 has an outline of the muscles so real.
Anyway, I don't know why from 2023 to 2047 but Prophet - as I said in another thread - svcks with this bro style. Alcatraz could say some bullsh*t instead of being quiet all the game but it's still better than Prophet with his bro words. Just saying, don't QQ. :p

Kind of hard to talk when you got a hole through your throat.

Well Alcatraz does not speak because his whole body and even his throat and vocal cords are damaged.
And now that his mind and body has merged with prophet′s mind we will have to see who the real character is here.

I read in another thread that Prophet got captured by crynet, hence the big time-cap, guess they put him on ice or something lol.
Anyway they better dont give us that Silent-protagonist crap again. Prophet/alcatraz speaks in the end of crysis 2. he speaks in the book. so we KNOW he can talk, even if its just a speaker connected to his brain. Just DONT give us that silent crap again

Dude he speaks in the book because he is the narrator,it doesnt have anything to do with his ability to talk wich he doesnt have anymore, but since he and prophet are now the same inside the suit i will guess that he WILL talk.

Maybe Alcatraz/Prophet was trapped by Crynet and then Psycho freed him?
That could be an interesting idea.

Considering the suit could practically keep a 'dead man' alive and functioning to some degree, it is not out of the realm of possibility for the suit to repair him to a point some form of voice function is capable.

Back on topic however.

There's a lot of gaps now. That will be touched.

Are we going to see expansions that dig deeper into it?

Anyone else wondering if O'Neal is alive?
Or Emerson is going to be back?

Thank you very much for creating such thread, i was going to ask the same questions as there are two things i am trying to understand here.
How is Prophet is going to return however he *SPOILERS* "Killed Himself" *END OF SPOILERS* in C2 and he Alcatraz was with us since the beginning of the game?

Second thing, What is going to bridge the gap from 2023 to 2047 as there is a 24 years gap between C2 and C3 so this gap has to be bridge besides that i read in a post in the below link
http://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=45190

That we'll get to see Pyscho again.

There are a lot of unanswered questions that makes my wonder how will things work out.

Prophet's mind was stored inside of the N2. It was then assimilated into Alcatraz's brain.

***SPOILER***

I read all the comics and am really dissapointed they decided to kill off Nomad. My hope is that Pyscho goes back in time to rescue Nomad and they both go back into the future to rescue Prophet...and then go even farther into the future to save the planet. We only needed time travel folks and now we can do whatever the **** we want so let's rock it!!!!!

I'm fighting for a Nomad revival, I just love the way those three guys work together in the games and comic. It's hilarious and cool.

We already knew that. Some of us just hope for a retcon. Or something more. Like an alternate ending.

I'm going to address a couple issues here:

First, as a couple people have already pointed out, and the Crysis wiki states, the SECOND (basically limited Artifical Intelligence) chip in the suit absored Prophet's brain. IT IS ALSO ABLE TO "interpret the suit operator's "will to speak" and process it forward to the synthesizer all by itself." which means, Alcatraz IS capable of speech as long as he is in the suit.

Second, even if time travel is possible, (borrowing a page from the Doctor Who mythology) CERTAIN events in time are FIXED and CANNOT be changed. This includes all major events such as the death of famous people, invention of the atomic bomb, etc. Therefore, saving Nomad is likely impossible as his death is most likely a fixed moment in time, and irreversible.

*Side note*
Although, as stated, practically anything is possible with time travel, and I would also like to see Nomad in the game somehow, even if only breifly. The most logical implementation (in my opinion) however would be if they went back in time and talked to Nomad at some point before his death. He could easily keep it a secret, and even if they warned him about his death since he was always a "mission first" kind of guy, he'd still die. But he would have prepared for it better and been at peace probably. Especially if he knew his death wasn't in vain, so the best time to talk to him would be after we (hopefully) save the world in Crysis 3, and could just tell him something like "don't worry, we won this fight."
