250 Dungeons is way to Much?

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 1:54 pm

well recently there is more and more info and statment from todd and some game magazines that there is more then 150 dungeons in skyrim, in some interview todd himself said "there are Hunderds of dungeons" probably meant the earlier 250 claim from different article.

anyway if this is the case and 250 dungeons are in the game, what do you think about it, is it to much?

personally i think its to much since every 10 meters you will encounter a cave/dungeon, you will have to jump over holes in the ground :P so if its something like 150-200 max, im ok with it.

this is one of those times where saying "too much" is wrong

its like saying:

"too much gold is bad"

which is not, its good like dungeons

Nice unneeded sarcasm. Grow up?
But maybe he wants them to invest their time in other things for the game.

Ah great another "topic" people can whine about...i wonder why so many are even on these forums, thought there would be a bit more TES luv hahhahha!

Hey here's a thought, since so MANY bring up mods (ridiculous for a game that isn't even out yet) let's mod some dungeons out! :goodjob:

The numbers have fluctuated greatly, and 250 dungeons doesn't sound feasible. I've heard anywhere in the range of 100 - 150, which would be perfect.

Anyone who thinks this is way too much just don't buy the game and go play some 5 hour FPS that lasts 10 seconds of your life. I noticed that is only 1 vote the opposite. does that tell you something. I say wonderful that I will finally have a TES game worthy of playing after IMO Oblivion was way to generic and bland for my taste.

Yes it's too much, but the numbers keep moving around, it's hard to tell which is which. :cryvaultboy:
But that's a good thing. I just hope they won't be copied and pasted, it's probably not, but then again OB did that.

I generally prefer really long, epic dungeons to a ton of glorified caves... but if they have time to do both, great.

The only real worry I have is that it'll make the gameworld seem a bit out of scale and squashed together.

At this point, as long as I spend around 100+ hours underground/in a ruin without it being a Quest related dungeon dive, then I'd be happy. Whether this is achieved by massive dungeons, or a lot of medium dungeons, or a mix of large dungeons and medium, I'd be happy.
