2560x1080 resolution not available?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:18 pm

Hi Ladies and Gents,

Just installed the game via Steam and can't seem to find an option to run the game in 2560x1080 resolution.

I've got two LG 29UB65-P IPS LED monitors. Not looking to combine; just use one at a time for the game.

I'm connected via DisplayPort and the GFX card certainly is capable enough - it's an ATi Radeon Sapphire R9 270X 4GB.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Justin

This game doesn't support ultrawide\amd eyefinity\nvidia surround. You can modify .ini\.swf.\.ba2 or just refound, because they dont give a f about this problem.

Another http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1545334-ultra-wide-resolutions-support/page-5#entry24533570 from here.

wsgf. org - where you can find some solutions to get 21:9 to work at this game.

Crikey. Thanks for letting me know they don't support ultrawide resolutions.

I'll have a look at that website you've mentioned and see if it helps.

I've also logged an official support request so I'll wait to see what they come back with...

Cheers,

Justin

How To Add 21:9 (Ultrawide) Support:

To run Fallout 4 at 21:9 without issue simply open Fallout4Prefs.ini in your documents (or just search for it), and change the following lines to how they are below:

bTopMostWindow=1
bMaximizeWindow=1
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=XXXX
iSize W=YYYY

Here XXXX is whatever your horizontal resolution is aand YYYY is whatever your vertical resolution is.

Next do the same for the second Fallout4Prefs.ini located in wherever you insalled steam, then open steamapps, then common, then Fallout 4, then Fallout 4 again.

He can play with this only with broken hud. The best way is download .ba2 from wsgf and noscope\power armor + launcher mods from nexus.

Firstly, thanks to you both.

I'm going to try the .ba2 and mods from Nexus - fingers crossed that works. Will report back after I've tried...

I confess. I took the easy route and rolled with Mark5917's suggestion. After I looked into the wsgf option, it seems there are still issues. There are 12 pages of posts relating to the 21:9 issue there... and counting.

I've also just started the game so I've not gotten to any HUD part yet (Power Armor, I'm guessing?).

As it stands, editing the two Pref.ini files seems to be working fine.

Also, interestly, I'm getting 60FPS in the game - I gather there are issues where some PC players aren't? Shame on you Bethesda! :P

Seems to be fine - I've a screenshot to share but don't seem to be allowed to post links or upload attachments?!

Maybe they've dealt with it via a patch - what release are we at now? I could check but it's via Steam...
