308 JSP not worth using any more for high crit characters ?

Hi !

If i have understood this correctly, the new 1.3 multiplier for the JSP is only applied to the base damage.
For Gobi 48 * 1.3 = 62,4 , the difference in sneak attack critical for someone with better criticals would then be 28,8 ( 336 vs 364,8 )
Even with normal criticals 50 + % of the time the damage difference would be negilible compared to the huge drawback of having your weapons detereorate twice as fast ( btw it is CND * 2 now, right ? )

This would mean that unless you are using something like this machine, JSP and Juryrigging ( if you use it mainly for JSP ) is not really worth it anymore.

Have i got this right ? if so i need to convert all my JSP to standard 308 again *sigh*

it's CNDx1.5 now for JSP ammo. For the Gobi it'll mean repair cycles every 110 rounds fired, or up to 440 if Raul is your buddy. With dead money dropping 55 WRKs in your lap every three days it's not so bad.

Edit: Just double checked myself. It will take exactly 110 JSP rounds to take the Gobi from 100% CND to 75% CND.

.308 JSP was completely and utterly broken, before. Now it has down sides like every other fancy high-powered ammunition type. This was the correct move.

Aha, yes i see what you mean, the .50 match is a great example, i trust you are refering to its hidden 50 % chance of shooting yourself in the foot, or the .44 Magnum, SWC with its 100 % chance to make the weapon explode.......................
