Hello,

I'm getting consistent crashes at a very specific area in the map. It's the bridge between Monsignor Plaza and Cabot house. I noticed this during the "Boston After Dark" questline and as soon as my character steps within a perimeter of the "crash zone" the game crashes.

I've checked that both the ps4 and the game were updated. I tried running the game offline. I've even reinstalled the entire game and loaded up a cloud save. The crash still relentlessly occurs if my characters enters into the crash zone.

I've had no other issues in my 60h+ save file up to this point. I'm worried that there may be other crash zones around the Commonwealth that would even further hamper my game. Tempted to just start over.

Has anyone resolved this area? Is Bethesda aware of this game-breaking error and working on a fix?

Fallout 4 is glitched as a 3 legged goat,

I had crashes also , it's not just u , as people will try and tell u lol

I been told to unplug the ps4 from the Internet but I pay for PlaystTion plus , I am paying for a service I can't use ! Bethesda needs to pay for my play station plus subscription untill they fix the issue !

Ps4 is a internet connected device ! To get the features out of the ps4 u need to be connected to the net ! Is bethesda saying Its Sony issue ? Lol

I'm dealing with this bug now, trying to get to Jack Cabot's house in Charlestown. Anywhere in that area by his house, or from the other side coming from Back Street Apparel, causes the error to pop. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I just rebuilt my database and I'm going to try again. This is very upsetting. Playing offline is not a permanent solution for me. I pay for PS+ and use the Party feature with two Fallout friends nightly. I'm not starting over after 50 hours of progress.

Is there a patch coming for this? Has Bethesda commented on it? Thanks.

I feel your pain. I just got Error CE 34878-0 on my console. For myself, it happens around Park Street Station on my way to Goodneighbor (looking for Dr. Amari). Once I get within a 100 meter radius of the Goodneighbor entrance, I get this huge framerate drop. Then, I can't save or enter any building without crashing. I've tried reinstalling the game, and unplugging the console. I'm only level 15, but I like where I'm at with this character...I would hate to have to delete the saved games.

Okay, this is frustrating.

I decided to continue playing the save and acknowledged that I would not be able to continue the Railroad questline on this character.

Went with the Brotherhood of Steel questline instead and reached the "Shadow of Steel" quest. Game crashed with the same error while riding in the helicopter. Okay, I've read up and I see that several other people have had the same issue. Acknowledged that I would not be able to continue the Brotherhood of Steel questline on this character, either.

Left the cambridge police station and ran into yet another crash zone.

I've had this game for barely over a week and my save is already riddled with corrupt data. At this point I'm questioning even starting a new character as the errors keep adding up.

Bethesda, please. Is there any information on this? A fix in the works? At least a way to prevent this from happening in the future? I'm a longtime fan and consumer, and I know that glitches happen but these sorts of issues are very disheartening. Any comment on this would be highly appreciated.

As the Monsignor Plaza area crashes goes, apparently the new beta patch 1.2.33 (available on Steam) has fixed this issue to many of the pc issuers. It still a beta, but you can be sure as stated by Bethesda, that as soon as it's ready they will be releasing on PC and then console shortly after that.

Here's are the two threads you should keep an eye on:

#entry24588514
(PC thread concerning the crash)

/#entry24588692
(Beta Patch thread concerning the crash)
