I was wondering if anyone can confirm 360 Controler Support for the PC Version of Skyrim as that is the olny way I will play games is with a controler.

Yes, your 360 controller will work with rumble and everything like the Fallouts. Evidently, some keyboard keys will still work for quick save/load which is cool, but I'm really hoping all of the keys will still work when using a controller so we'll still be able to access and utilize mod added keypress stuff with our unused, hanging pinky fingers while holding a controller over a keyboard.

Sure. I might use my controller aswell sometimes when I feel like playing more comfortably.

Also if anyone prefers to use a PS3 controller there's support on the net for it too. Xbox 360 being Microsoft's own platform just makes microsoft hardware an easier solution is all.

I'm stoked too :) Keyboard+Mouse and the controller have their unique benefits according to context. Here's hoping our keyboards still work in tandem with the built in controller support *knock on wood*.

I just finished a 360 controller play through on the new deus ex and, if it's anything like that, the input mode is all dynamic. They had a separate HUD for keyboard play that let you hotkey. As soon as you pressed a key or moved the mouse, it would switch over, and after a few seconds of controller play it went away again. Really smooth. IDK if that's games for windows API stuff or just their studio but it shouldn't be too different

Here's hoping Skyrim will follow suit. With the Fallouts, one had to remove their controller's battery pack to regain access to the keyboard. That's a problem is you need to get to a mod added hotkey/menu.
