Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 11:59 am

ok so I've heard rumors that you cant make mods for 360 even on pc. so what I dont know is why we cant make a mod for the 360 and then just convert it into something that would work on the 360?

if i sound like an idiot just shrug it off and please answer this.

As far as I know, you cant mod games for the console, despite the fact the 360 has a HD and all kind of add ons, its not possible because the games are directly loaded from the DVD. I also heard it would be illegal to mod the 360 game because you have to hack it. So, no, its not possible.

Yes, there are ways to mod on a 360. But you generally have to hex edit and it's far too complicated a process for such little gain. The most you could do is add items into the game world, you can't accomplish most of what you see in PC mods by hex editing. I suggest you just forget about it, and get the PC version if you really want to mod.

That said, this thread has a 100% chance of being locked sometime soon, because we can't talk about piracy or console modding on this forum.

Ah, but that only entails talking about it's possibilities, which we aren't, we're advising against :)

which makes this thread a little useless now..

which means it'll be locked..

yeah..

Using the 360's built-in music player you could probably decently emulate radio mods, at the least.
