360 - patch breaks positional sound

Post » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:10 pm

Issue: Latest patch breaks positional sound. The target in front of me is nearly inaudible. This includes NPC dialog (you have to read subtitles, or change facing, if the situation allows), looting chests, picking locks, anything directly in front of me. If I change facing so that the source of the sound is from the side , it sounds normal.

As a huge fan of Skyrim's former immersive sound and ambience, this is very dissapointing.

I am on a current generation xbox 360, and the issue is present with a headset or external speakers.

Was a sound issue on the bug fix list?

I have had no problem with sound and I use a headset. OP check your TV and change the sound settings. see if that works.

This worked - I'm mildly embarassed I had not tried this prior to posting. Mom never said what sort of "good example" I'd grow up to be. ;)

So, back to my dungeon crawling!

Thanks
