3rd Person Camera Angle Malfunctioned: PC Version of Game

I was playing along in 3rd person when all of a sudden the camera angle was on top instead of behind and over the shoulder of the character. No matter what I did I could not fix it. More importantly there is no camera setting option to be found anywhere: Nor any documentation that I could find anywhere. I could not correct the issue with the wheel of the mouse or the keyboard either. Does anyone know how to prevent this from ever happening again? I have had to uninstall the game and reinstall it. Thanks.
