3rd Person Camera View Lovers?

Post » Mon Sep 23, 2013 5:45 pm

I use 1st for archery in cramped spaces, and to pick up and place objects. For everything else, 3rd person. I hate the few scripted scenes that force you to be in 1st person. It feels like I can't see what's happening!

But I started at the other end of the scale, Only used 1st for my first two and most of my third playthroughs, and hated when horseback riding or werewolf transformations forced me into 3rd... :P Then I started to take screenshots, and the more screenshots I took, the more I played in 3rd instead of 1st.

Some people switch to 3rd person then rotate the camera angle so their character is facing you, to ensure that you save when/where you want to.

To ensure when to save? You can save anytime, anywhere. Regardless of what perspective you're in.

I actually hate first person, i love seeing my surroundings and seeing my character. I only use first person for archery and very precise aiming.

Depends. 3rd person is best when engaging in combat with a 2h weapon in my opinion. Especially when using the whip around power attack to hit several enemies with one blow.

I'm trying to get used to archery in 3rd person but I'm making a mess of it. I pretty much switch it up based on the situation.

I love third person view, I only use first person while playing archers or mages.

Although I joined the Elder Scrolls wagon because of it's 1st person view, I like the way 3rd person has been done in Skyrim.

Playing as a mage or archer in 3rd person felt strange at first, as I wasn't used to play like that at the time. I also had to adjust my ingame mouse settings. After a while, I could do just fine.

I have been playing both views. The biggest issue with 3rd person is grabbing items and the awkwardness of using archery (though getting use to it). Wish VL/WW had 1st person to make it best of both worlds.
