Khajiit talks in 3rd person all the time, but I asking about Argonians instead?
I remember in TES games, sometimes an Argonian talks in 3rd person and sometimes they do not. Why is that in terms of lore?

I don't remember Argonians talking in third person?
Here is a Skyrim example:
"You want knives? You want them in your belly, no? Then stop talking to Deja"(or something like that, I just love that line)
She is the Argonian on the docks in Solitude, she is the sister of a quest given in the city.
I can dig up some more in Oblivion as well.

Idk. It's inconsistent, she seems to be doing it only with her name. Check her UESP page, it has examples of her using first person.
Could be they are torn between their birth names and later names that non argonians can pronounce, so they say their new name in third person ^^
Khajiit talk in 3rd person because that is how they veiw themselves.
This one thinks that Argonains talk in 3rd person because they have not learn the "common trade tongue" yet and are simply making mistakes.
This one can not find any lore to back up that theory....
I seem to remember plenty talking In the first person in Skyrim. It is also how most most argonians talk in ESO.
Most, but not all. Talking in 3rd person is fun to hear and give something "special" to the char. Just looking for a lore reason why besides a lazy writer, voice actor or a typo reason.
You know, argonians, khajits, mers and men are people too, right. I've got a weird neighboor over here who speaks about himself in the third person, and it's not because of any lore reason that the canadians speak in third person.
Sometimes, people are like they are just because they are people, not because of their origins.
Can't remeber any Argonians speaking in thrid person regularly, in the single player games anyway.
ESO tho... i think i remeber them going "this one erects the spine of X" alot, also telling me to keep moist and a generall obsession with moisture.
Yeah i get it, amphibians and all.. but it's just.. never mind..
dont you see they want you to be nice and... wet
