3rd person view nerf?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:55 am

No worries Nick, I think it boils down to my game OCD, especially when I play Beth games. Everything has its place and how it should look and feel. You can imagine how much time i spend in the workshop or previous creation kits. Things have a place, and for me my guns are missing when im in 3rd person view. Previous point was a good one too. I have countless times already drawn my weapon to then discover it wasn't what I thought it was.

On the immersion side though, I'm loving the accompanying Pip Boy app. (No I aint got the whole wrist thingy lol) but that app does add to my game satisfaction.

Anyway ya'll, I got to drive home now so have a good weekend exploring ;)

But it's not really realistic to be carrying 10 weapons and only see one of them either

Weapons and packs on characters in 3rd person are nice touches that are satisfying for me. I can live with weapons floating/clipping if I can see that cool weapon on my back as I strut the wasteland. Looking forward to the mods. Get going modders!

Well, it can look cool. But I certainly wouldn't call it a "nerf", since it's not making some gameplay skill/weapon/numbers weaker.

(I wonder the removal is a combination of "wow, stuff clips like heck with our new wiggly clothing/skirts/etc" and "you know, that looks kind of silly with the gun just floating there next to your belt.")

I don't know about other people but I get attached to my characters, and my primary weapon is a large part of what defines my character. To have a visible representation of this on my PC is important to me. It's absence is not game breaking, but I can't not notice it's missing.

It's like adding clothing to me character but the entire game he's displayed wearing the 111 jumpsuit.
