So why did they make it that you dont get to see your holstered weapon anymore, or that Sniper rifle on your back. It just dissapears now? Really Beth WTF was wrong with how that was before.

Not being a dike but i have seen this comment before and i'm really struggling to what difference this makes to the game? What is it about this that gets your goat dude?
I'm not levelling this accusation at you and again it's only my opinion but there has been some real petty things people have written like i see a comment from someone who said the shadows were not dark enough.......not enough love is given to games these days!!
Clipping issues is what I'm guessing, especially since armor has been broken into individual parts now.
except immersion has nothing to do with it, Immersion is being able to sit down and white out everything else, being completely engrossed in a game.
If your immersion is somehow broken because " i cannot see my weapon", then yeah, gaming must be hard for you.
Immersion exactly. When i grab my gun I want to reach for it and aim, the whole animation. Not for it to just appear in my hands and dissappear when ive finished. Why does Fallout 4 need to be any different too NV, F3 or Skyrim in respect.
Clipping maybe, its a cheap fix to just remove it. Shame for me, How i look and how I roll is all pat of it for me. I'm a bit OCD like that.
Its nothing to do with lack of love, I do love this game as with all the previous which ive sunk many hundreds of hours into. Its why fix something that wasnt broken before. I liked this aspect of the game. No it hasnt broken it for me. Why even give clothes an appearance if you dont care for these things. It sall th elittle things that make a great game. I may reggret buying this on the xbox if a modder fixes this on the nexus forum for PC which is how I normally roll.
I can understand that for sure but lets be honest if your going for full immersion then this has to be the least of the problems right and again im not looking for a fight but the first thing i would say to immersion enthusiasts is your character has what 3, 4 maybe 5 guns in his inventory but you only want to see the one that's equipped what about that mini gun thats in your pocket wherre on earth are you hiding that when its not equipped.
Maybe all im looking for is why people are so quick to jump on here with minor gripes (which they have every right to do) but the same people will rarely if ever make a post about something they like in the game!!
I'd rather not see my weapon if was going to be "floating" on my back anyway.
However I do wish we could see the weapon... its how I know what I have equipped.
But dude like i said you want to grab your hand gun and see it draw i get that thats all good......but what about the Fat man you just had equipped but changed out for the handgun where did that badboy go or those 850 .38 rounds your holding where are they on your person??
TBH honest in NV i used a MOD that allowed 3 of your favourite weapons to be visible. I was a walking aresenal
Yeah me to dude and works svcks, i love the game and your right if i was at home i would have no time to write posts about how much fun im having coz i would be busy having fun.
I feel i should start a thread for all of us stuck at work who want to talk about what fun they are having or what they are gonna do first when they get home so i dont have to read such depressing threads!!!
Come on guys its not that bad!!!
I really, really hope they will fix it with a patch or some addon like they did in Skyrim (mounted combat etc.)
It ruins my immersion pulling weapon out of my ...
There are still people like me who play this game as a RPG, not FPS. I play it in 3rd person view. How the heck am I going to tell what is my current weapon when something ambushes me and I enter VATS?
When walking with weapon holstered I look like a tourist instead of bad ass wastelander.
Please Beth add weapon on back. Don't convert your titles more and more in to FPS games. I was so happy that in Skyrim you made the game more 3rd person view freindly than Morrowind and Oblivion. Don't ruin Fallout for players like me.
How come its that part of the game that does it for your immersion dude and why not some of the other things, is there a chance it is perhaps what we have be ingrained to see in past titles that its so glaringly obvious that its not there in this one, but things like carry an arsenal of weapons in your pocket is such common place for games that we have just grown to accept this and move on.
Did you play The Last of Us i think that had a pretty good weapon selection type system going on where you could hold lots of weapons in you bag put could only have a couple maybe 3? equipped at any one time so you couldn't run around with your shotgun and your rifle together and hand to plan your weapons prior to an engagement!!
Sorry I don't play Last of us.
So because we carry an aresenal in our deep pockets, lets remove one of the few realistic and good looking things in 3rd person view.
Next thing I see them remove 3rd ps view so they don't code so many armors and suits, add co- op and boss fights with random loot chests. Borderlands...
"So because we carry an aresenal in our deep pockets, lets remove one of the few realistic and good looking things in 3rd person view. "
That's not even close to what im getting at dude, im asking you as a person who enjoys the immersion side of these games what are the parameters for what does and does not break the feeling of immersion for you. Im asking why "detail a" breaks your immersion but "detail b" is to much of a concern.
In fact maybe ill ask the forum in general as it seems i may have pissed you off somehow!!
"realistic" side, not immersion side, this has nothing to do with immersion at all, but realism.
Are you bored Nick. I think you might be more at home in Bungie's Destiny forum?
Cool i get that, but some players seem to be very accepting of some outrageous mechanics but get very upset at other just as outrageous mechanics....where's the line.....what's the drop off point for "nope too outrageous i can accept that"?
No man destiny blows traded that away a long time ago, i am bored tho but genuinely interested in people's varied acceptance of certain mechanics and the outright rejection of others.
Gamers are passionate people and are always good for interesting points of view!!
ignorance is pretty much the answer, unless there is a game contradiction, otherwise, someone who cares about "Realism" should stick to sims and survival games.
Characters in RPG survive explosions to the face and bullets/arrows to the head.
Characters fight using stuff and against monsters that are completely impossible in the real world.
Characters in RPGs have an inventory size way bigger then what should be possible, they carry things that no person could carry at once.
I would prefer to have equipped weapon visible as well, because as has been mentioned, I'd like to be able to see what I currently have "equipped." I am also quite curious as to why they removed that. Clipping can't be an answer as they had multiple type of armor before in the previous games.
I get so upset, because I can ignore lots of other added immersion breaking things. My imagination can ignore them, I can restrict my self from using some game mechanic I don't like. The problem is I can't add to my playstyle, using my imagination, things that are not in the game, like a weapon on my back or a pistol on my side.
It's just my character look plain ugly and stupid with armor suit and bare hands running around and no weapon seen.
