1,500+ Hours Played on Fallout

Post » Tue Jul 12, 2011 1:06 am

Has anyone else reach very high amounts of hours played in-between Fallout 3 and Fallout new Vegas. Cause I have over 1,500+ hours. Which is over a month and a half straight.

A month and a half isn't too extreme, quite a few people pull that off for the yearly CoD cycle. I'd say put in 2500 hours and that would get you a medal.

I... wow. For Fallout 3 the longest save I had was something like 237 hours, and I had a couple saves reaching past 100 hours so I'd chalk FO3 up to about 500-600 hours total over a period of 2-3 years. For New Vegas it's drastically less since I'm plagued by constant freezes and crashes (though the latest patch seems to of fixed most of this).

However, in the 150-200 hours I've played of New Vegas I've had infinitely more fun then all of the time I spent playing Fallout 3. The characters, the mods, the general atmosphere. It all feels more solid and well put together, making it much easier to get lost in the game's world.

Sadly on my PC I've only logged in 77 hours on New Vegas. On my 360 between New Vegas and Fallout 3 I must have a total of around 900-1100 hours maybe? Not really sure just a rough estimate. That's also not counting Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 playtime on my PC.

Bwtween FO3 and NV, I have 17 full playthroughs: FO3 x 12, NV x 5

In total, this comes to almost 2,000 hours. You're definitely not alone. I am addicted to Fallout. And I'm not getting help. It's a sweet, sweet nectar. :fallout:

Wandering the New Vegas map, some of it looked awfully familiar. Not familiar as in I know the place IRL, because I don't, but I kept getting the feeling I've played the game before. I swear I've played New Vegas before. Maybe alongside my approx. 1000 hours played, I played an additional 1000 in a previous life?>

I have ~1,000 hours. I did four playthroughs around 300 hours each, but I deleted two due to memory issues with PS3.

460. I have just started to play a variety of games lately, so it is going up a slower rate now. I've had the game since release.

I know. I enjoy it very much. Hiking, biking, garden, you know.

Wow. . . and I thought my 111 hours on New Vegas was a lot.

I don't know exactly how much time I have logged on FO3, since it wasn't a Steam game, but I'd estimate upwards of 300 hours.

Sure, but it's way too buggy for me. :user: Still, a man must leave the house occasionally for things like nachos, and to shoot real guns at the firing range.

On topic, I have probably 300 hours combined on FA3 and NV, so 1,500 is impressive. My greatest gaming weakness was Half Life 2: Death Match. A quick calculation: roughly 3 hours a day for about 18 months = 1,642.5 hours. That's just death match; I ran the single player campaign for HL2 several times and have no idea how many hours that was (although my ex-girlfriend could probably tell you!).

Edit: lol to the post above ^. "It's a glitchy world out there, full of all sorts of people."-Edited quote from Dad from FO3.Bless him  .
