It has been going "mad". :) The regulars on here will notice that we (as in the moderators) have been allowing a lot of duplicate topis which on a slower moving forum would be closed and linked to an existing one. That's because of all the enthusiasm, the speed the forum moves - topics are often off the first couple of pages in a couple of hours - and because we are as excited as everyone else. :D

Yeah I noticed.

haha, back to topic guys?

Sorry about that...

Any errors in my earlier calculations? I just did them quickly and maybe someone can get a more accurate number then 68 days to number one spot.

Edit: Well @ 3275 posts/day that's 73 days

Over 400 rabid lunatics, myself included, watched a thread full of spam desperately waiting for a drawing of a troll last night, and the same thing will happen on thursday. Yet the magazines say Portal 2 is the most eagerly awaited game. In numbers ,yes, but let's face it we're a bunch of hokerrs, happy out but obviously tapped in the head. Wouldn't have it any way.

On Thursday? What will happen on Thursday?

I anticipate we will break our old record when a video is released. Yep, I think we will.

Yesterday was wild. I never enjoyed this place quite so much seeing all the excitement.

I wonder how big the Elder Scrolls official forum/online community is compared to other big franchises. It seems quite big indeed.

+1!

Don't start talking about a new Video trailer, one tweet and the forum will light-up again like dragon's breath. :)

I hope we get another soon, yesterday's fix is already wearing off!

Prediction: Tomorrow's update will involve details about the Creation Kit and that's why they went ahead and told us we were getting it today.

Not sure if the raw numbers are the compelling statistic. What is interesting is the number of people that are still around here from the Morrowind days. Few game fracnhises keep a community going like that for that long. Sure, most games have a core of devotees, but I would imagine that the Elder Scrolls has a bigger population of them.

I definitely feel your pain there, I recently got my education on "patience" as well.

I didn't mean to offend you in any way if I did!

Want to know worse ? Wasn't at home last night, came back at 12:20AM. Just a few minutes after the update arrived. Perfect, no ?

... I miss not having waited.

I think they decided to stave off the 1,378 threads made in the next year that will be asking when or if there will be an Editor, when we all know that it is inevitable.

I love the Elder Scrolls community. Have you ever been to the Bungie forums? They're awful now. For the most part, we are very nice to each other. I like how we can all come together in out appreciation for TES, and of course for the excitement over Skyrim! :)

Oh yeah, we've been hanging out here for a while, modding TES, gobbling up scraps of Fallout, and waiting and waiting and BAM.

Sheer pandemonium as we all clamor for as much information as we can get and engage in verbal mastvrbation to keep our heads from exploding while basking in the Radiating Epicness  that is Skyrim.

could not have said it better.

Raw numbers are impressive too. Between the views of the Skyrim articles, and the others on GI, the discrepancy is biiiiig.

Quite certainly we have all been touched by the Mad God. Alas, who knew madness could be bliss? I guess he does, since it is one of his sides. Huzzah! :twirl:

Same here. There is just something special about being involved in something and knowing there are hundreds of people in the same space, albeit virtual, who are just as excited as you and in some cases even more so. I  you folks... I am anticipating a personal invitation to the Shivering Isles for each of us once Skyrim is released. Or, as Summer points out, just a video. :P

Someone(sry forgot your name ) posted a topic about the idea of having a world-wide Skyrimfest or something.

Im personaly thinking that maybe having a TES FESTIVAL would be the best thing EVA!!! :woot: :ahhh: :woot:

Just look at all these fans here, then add all the ones not here, and tell me you wouldnt get over 2000 people showing up....

Very true.
Look at the Diablo II or Neverwinter Nights communities.
They are still active, but it's nothing compared to the Morrowind modding.
