535 Hours Played

Post » Sun Oct 16, 2011 4:15 pm

I hereby renounce Steam and it's watchful ways. I've just noticed Steam keeps track of how long you've played a game for.

535 hours...

Is this excessive? Have I squandered my retirement? Please tell me this is normal? Pretty please?

It can't be right, there was sleeping and eating and going to the pub and all other stuff that's happened over the year, I'm sure of it. Or maybe that was the game and New Vegas is real life?

I shan't ever criticise the price of a Bethesda published game again. All I can say is I'm glad Steam doesn't know I have Morrowind installed as well. Some things are better left unknown.

I don't thinks its that excessive I had at least 6 or 7 characters with 80-120 hours with them. Then again I don't have much of life to begin with so I'm not the best judge with it comes to over doing things.

669 hours. But that's small potatoes compared to many.

571 hours.
This doesn't include the 7-8 untracked hours offline when my internet connection went down.

I wonder how many hours of Skyrim I'll play until Bethesda releases Fallout 4.

1102 hours playing, 173 hours modding, 79 hours making a damage calculator, 325 CAO Brazilia Amazon cigars, 193 Guinnesses (or Beck's Dark, depending on mood) 27 Papa John's Hawaiian barbecue pizzas, 3 "dancers", 2 girlfriends and one marraige.

I have a total of roughly 500 hours invested in New Vegas, 211 of them on my current character. About another 150 or so on my lost character (corrupt save victim), and the rest were on my first character.

EDIT: Nearly all of it's offline.

Thank you (all) for your reply(s). I am no longer plagued with guilt as I start a new character tonight.

Though I'm seeing an unbalance between drinking Guiness and playing time. 193 seems a bit light. Mind you, you might not be Scottish/Irish and therefore are not immune to its effects (The Iron Anus Perk) like all my fellow countrymen and/or you are talking about kegs.

Well for some reason, Steam doesn't keep track of anything. I did get it from a friend since he owed me 60$ so he must have done something to it. According to my in-game stats, I logged 300 hours.

364 hours. If I was to add in the hours on my other computer it would be over 600.

According to Steam it was something over 1000 hours. Oblivion is over 1250 hours.

It's the mods, they make these games so perfect it's impossible to stop playing them ^_^

I am exactly 1/8 Irish, so I drink 1/8th as much as the average Irishman. That would be 1544 for you. Also, I think you may have misspelled the Iron AnGus Perk.

461 hours, not counting the intermittent days where I don't have internet connection and Steam doesn't register it. Now back to Mr. Run and hide!

I've got around 700 hours put into New Vegas, still can't touch the over 1000 I put into Fallout 3 though.

So don't worry dude, I can't say for sure if your normal or not but at least your among friends.

Around 150 hours I think. Or closer to 200.

Vastly over 1000 for F3, though, and I'd guess over 300 hours both F1/2 combined. Those games I've played a lot.

629 hours.

Which I just happened to do the math the other day.
We're just short of one year of New Vegas, and 629 hours was about ~24 days of New Vegas, if I remember correctly. So basically I spent a month of 2011 playing this damn game. :D
