7000 steps - how to make them awesome

Post » Sun Apr 17, 2011 10:52 pm

I think what will realy make it awesome will be the views you get as you wander up the path and climb various sections of steps. I think the mountain itself will wind up being massively tall.

The actual steps are probably wider and safer, since Hrothgar is a pilgrimage spot. I'd love to have something like that pathway in Skyrim though.

Not so sure. Mount Huashan (China) is also a holy mountain and acts as a pilgrimage spot today, with some similar properties:

Remember, this is before the era of NTSB :D

How about getting to the top, then... This lock cannot be picked, you need a key :D

Edit: Yeah, Wayna Picchu would be awesome too. Never saw those before.

Lol, but yeah, it's probably very hard to get to. That'd be the point. Only the bravest and most determined and worthy may see the Greybeards.

I wonder if they will go all retcon on us and imply that the 7000 steps are a metaphysical concept, or maybe just the distance of a journey...not that I don't want to actually see 7000 steps in the game, I want this gameworld to be epic :)

How to make 7000 steps awesome? Well that's easy, put a cliffracer at every single one of them, increasing their HP the higher you go. There, problem solved.

If it doesn't take me more than 10 minutes to climb the 7,000 steps then I will be sad.

i don't think they're necessarily going to be steps per say. I'm actually thinking that all the pictures from game informer with the large stone arches along the mountains are actually the steps.

I'd rather castrate myself than have that be the truth.

To truly make the 7000 steps amazing, you need a slinky and start it's decent from the top. "Go, Slinky go!"

Mod need to be created for this.

hehe, I wanna kill the adoring fan, and watch his corpse roll down 7000 steps

Given that I saw the top of Mount Hua and the other peaks, they'll have some work to do to impress me. But I guess if 7000 steps are in, I'll be satisfied enough. And I seriously don't expect for bloody Nord to go aim for safety of their pilgrims.

...
But yeah, I would love for someone to mod a Havok Slinky model in. ^_^

As per tradition of my own devise i have always base jumped to my death from the highest in game elevation. Maybe this time I'll get some serious airtime before ker-splatting

I'd rather castrate myself than have that be the truth.

More?....Less?
Kinda hard to read there.

I hope that it will be a series of steps with several plateaus winding up the mountain. This would make it easy to meet people and have a few quests on your way up the mountain. Also anyone out there wanna volunteer to count all 7000 steps?

The RPG community is wrought with OCD sufferers so no doubt this will be done by at least a few people right away.

More, much much more. It had better take several attempts over an hour or two before I make it to the top.
