7000 steps - how to make them awesome

Post » Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:42 am

i doubt the 7,000 steps would be a barely-existent path with the few remaining parts consisting of nothing but pipes and paper-thin stone that looks like swiss cheese.

Wait, are the steps confirmed for Skyrim? If so, is it confirmed that there'll actually be 7,000 steps?

More, much much more. It had better take several attempts over an hour or two before I make it to the top.

It's less than a mile, barring any obstacles and at full speed run it should take less than 5 min. 4 min is a long time to run not doing anything else. That's long enough for me thank you.

If it really is 7,000 steps, it's going to take a lot longer than 5 minutes... you're going to take over a 1,000 steps a minute? I doubt it's going to be like Oblivion where steps are just for show and you basically glide up them.

I say 15-20minutes.

If they really want to mess with the OCD people they should sneakily only make 6999 steps.

I know I for one would be convinced I had miscounted, and start over :)

They should have 6,999 steps, but the last step off to the side somewhere or something as a joke.

Haha! I can see the OCDers pulling their hair out in frustration as they search for hours and hours for the one final step!

I shouldn't be so sadistic.

Well your avatar is Zim, we won't hold it against you. I hope they actually do put in 7000 individual steps.

It would be equally devious to put 7001 and then they wouldn't have had to lie about 7000.

I was joking anyway, though you probably guessed. I am actually really unsadistic in reality.

lol, that would be devious. I can see the devs now, with their evil laughs in their headquarters in the Castle on the cliffside with thunderclouds always hovering of it, showering lightning around it.

Yah, I had guessed that but that's the great thing, we can be as sadistic as we want in games (and the forums about that game) bwahahaha.

Imagine if the 7000 steps went like this:

20 steps, loading screen, 20 steps, loading screen, 20 steps, a black loading screen saying: "6940 steps later..."

I have a feeling that the 'steps' may be more symbolic than actual steps, if they are actual steps I would think more than Just the 418th step would have been damaged by a dragon if this was the case. What if the actual steps were different monuments or something like statues or rock formations you passed on your way up high hrothgar. Technically you are still ascending past them

To truly make the 7000 steps amazing, you need a slinky and start it's decent from the top. "Go, Slinky go!"

lol nice.

Maybe it's just 14 sets of 500 steps leading up a little hill.
