Thing is, people will still complain even if it's over 7000. I'm already predicting threads about 2 hours after the game's release being like, "YOU DIDN'T FULFILL YOUR PROMISE, TODD!!! THERE'S ONLY 6999/7001 STEPS!!! SKYRIM IS RUINED FOR ME!!!"

And I'm sure there will be countless debates in those threads with people defending Bethesda, and people claiming that Bethesda was too lazy, etc.

Oh well, even if there's not 7000 steps, I'm sure it'll be a day one mod on the PC. :tongue:

Seven thousand seems like a lot, but I guess maybe it's not in comparison to other things. I guess it depends on if we have anything to do while climbing the damn thing.

I'll be eagerly anticipating two things to come out of 7000 stairs if every single one (or more) is implemented.
A slinky mod, and a youtube video montage of a guy in a grey jumpsuit running up the stairs to "eye of the tiger."

Well there will only be 6999 steps, wasn't one of them destroyed by a dragon? If you count the place where a step once was as a step there will no doubt be 7000.

I love the way Todd guarantees 7000 steps. With that simple statement he's already ensured that legions of fans around the world will, at one point or another, take the time to count each and every one.

I am hoping that the stairway is broken into 7 groups of 1000 steps each...and there is a quest that needs to be figured out for each section...maybe even a dungeon right by each section of steps you have to explore to find whatever it is you need to allow you to continue.
