So everything works fine for me with the game except when I get into a server, I have a 999 ping and unbearable lag. I have good internet speeds and playing online has never been an issue for me so I dont know what is causing this.

Any thoughts?

I tried a solution for BC2 in which i had to lower the priority of the crysis2 process...but no success. Anyone solved this problem?

playing without firewall our antivirus can give lag also why?

well trojans worms virusses and such can use your internet connection to the fullest.

its probably nothing of that but dont let your pc be full of risks.

did you chanced anything on your pc ?

are there more pc's on your network?

no downloading somewhere?

when your press control alt del then go to tasks anything running on full speed?

I played several matches today and my ping seems to be normal most of time (about 70ms). Still don'tt know what caused the problem...
I did not change anything on my pc.

And yes, I'm aware that viruses and worms can use my internet connection but I'm don't use Windows to surf in the web - I am just playing crysis actually. I try to check my windows partition regularly with clamav - no threats until yet.

So after having the 999 Ping Problem again I managed to solve it (hope it will last).

This morning, I joined several servers (including mine) and my ping rose up to 999 after several seconds.

The I tried to change the priority of the c2 process - no success

But the I tried sth. out of a cs forum, where people had similar problems.

1. Make a backup of your registry
2. regedit
3. go to 'TCPAckFrequency in der regedit 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces' and set the value to 1
4. Save and try!
