[REL] AAA Addon for Westly's Fine Clothiers of Tamriel

Post » Tue May 06, 2014 8:58 pm

This is an addon for my "Absolutely Aleatory Accoutrements" that adds Westly's clothes to the ones randomly assigned to NPCs. This also includes vanilla clothing.
There are 2 different downloads: one is just a plugin that adds Westly's clothing to my random lists; this requires the original mod by Westly.
The second plugin, instead, is a "standalone version", which doesn't need the original mod: everything is included in the download. In this version of the mod, there's no NPC selling the new clothes, nor the few clothes I haven't used.
Download (and use) only one of the 2.
Of course, you also need my "Absolutely Aleatory Accoutrements" (.esm only, the addon for vanilla clothes is already merged with this new addon).

DESCRIPTION
*****************************************************************
This plugin ia an addon for my "Raym's Absolutely Aleatory Accoutrements 2.2".
It adds most of the clothing of Westly's Fine Clothiers of Tamriel to the levelled lists in my base .esm, so that NPCs will randomly equip them, along with vanilla clothing. The new clothes will also appear for sale in trader's inventories, and as random loot.
This plugin is to be used together with the original mod by Westly.
If you don't want to use the original mod, you can download another version of my addon that includes the clothes created by Westly that I used here, but removes the rest, the NPC that sells them, and other modifications that weren't strictly necessary for my purpose.

INSTALLATION
*****************************************************************
Drop the plugin in your "Morrowind/Data Files" directory and check it.
This plugin needs both "Raym's Absolutely Aleatory Accoutrements 2.2.ESM" and Westly's original mod to work.
Of course, you also need Better Bodies.
Since this addon uses vanilla clothes too, I highly recommend using the various Better Clothes mods.
DO NOT use this plugin with "AAA 2.2 addon - Vanilla": you don't need it, and the two are NOT compatible.
To see the effects of this mod you need a new game; otherwise, I think only NPCs that you haven't already met will be affected. Not sure, really, but that's likely.
Make sure this plugin loads after Westly's.
Also, because the mod alters Levelled Lists, you'll need to merge the levelled lists (for example, with a tool like Wrye Mash).
*****************************************************************
KNOWN ISSUES
*****************************************************************
The mod needs a new game for it to work correctly.
Some of the shoes made by Westly seem to clip with some of vanilla pants. There's nothing I can do about it, barring the removal of a great number of those clothes. Since after testing I've seen the clipping is not that noticeable in game, I've decided to leave things as they are.
A handful of shirts seems to clip weirdly when used by Argonian females, if you use Slof's Better Beasts. Again, little I can do about this, other than removing those shirts altogether.

CREDITS AND USAGE
*****************************************************************
Westly, of course. He's the one who made all the gorgeous clothing you'll see with this plugin. I just added it to the game via a trick, really.
As always, my thanks to the people at Wolflore (http://www.wolflore.net/) for advice, support and generally being awesome (and not to mention, for hosting my mods ).
Everyone has my permission to modify, integrate, and otherwise rework this mod in any way they like. This is my general stance on usage for my mods, and AAA in particular has been purposefully made to be a "platform" for other modders to use. Do with it as you please.
For questions, I may be reached at the official forums or at Wolflore.

This plugin doesn't need the original mod by Westly, and it only adds the clothes I've used (almost all of them) to my lists. So you won't find the original NPC created by Westly to sell the clothes to you.
If you want to use this addon together with the original mod, you need to download the other version of the addon.

Wow, this looks great! I really need to test this, soon (although I will most likely not use it until I start a new game with the English version of the game).
