I accidently overwrote president eden's speech with my own radio sation by accident. Errr and apart from doing months worth of work over again, is there any way for me to undo that mistake without destroying the rest of my mod?

Obviously I can't release it if it overwrites eden's speech so please help =/

I think the easiest fix would be to duplicate the forms you accidentally changed, rename them to something specific to only your mod. save,

Open your mod in FO3edit, run filter "identical to master" all changes to vanilla assets will be tagged as green. Manually delete any unwanted changes.

hope this helps.

Oops! CevSteel beat me to it. :)

Food for thought, a few other ways as well:

Once you have Fo3Edit loaded and have your mod loaded-up in it, what you can do then is paste the FormID of that speech into the FormID search box near the top and hit return. It should show you the exact record in Your mod file for Eden's speech. You could also do a conflict check and find it that way. Once you find the Eden speach FormID record in your mod, you can simply delete that record. It wont delete the record from the main game, so your safe (even though Fo3Edit will give you a huge warning sign), but it will delete it from your ESP, and thus the change you made will cease to exist.

Cheers,

thejanitor,

I'm glad to hear it worked. I've only done that with vanilla scripts, forms, cell, and, worldspaces I've screwed up. I wasn't sure if it would work with dialog.

Miax,

I win, for once. :celebration: hehe
