Abandoned?

Both these bugs are major and detrimental and have been present since day one. I agree, if anything should be fixed it is this. I am not aware of any other major bugs that seriously hamper gameplay enjoyment and even performance, apart of course from the two bugs related to archery. One where arrows and bolts miss the enemy during a kill-cam, because hitboxes mysteriously become bigger and your projectile gets stuck on the object at your feet that you could fire over perfectly well with no kill-cam.

The other being the teleporting/ matrix-sliding enemies that cause arrows and bolts to miss, sometimes also with a kill-cam trigger.

And a toggle for kill-cams.

Seriously, I mean, come on.

Edit: By respawn bug you mean things not respawning when they should?

I meant things respawning that absolutely should not, such as the named spider under Markath and the Forsworn at Kolskegger.

That's another pervasive and detrimental bug in serious need of fixing then making the total I am aware of five. Not a bad score at all, but still, I'd love to see a fix.

I made a thread about these bugs once but it quickly got locked because some [censored] kept insisting these things were features and I haven't fully learned yet to simply not reply to people that are tooth-ache-inducingly irritating and purposely wrong in order to further the myth that the game is perfect.

Yes the bug is a major oversight indeed and its something I mention here in the vein hike that it gets fixed my friend.

I would however not go so far as to that being the only major bug the respawn issue brought on by 1.3 I am always harping about has greatly changed my opinion and enjoyment of this game.

The wilderness has set respawn points where you will fight wildlife and this is not to be confused with random encounters. After 1.3 any character you create after you play some time with this characte the respawn timer breaks and enemies will not respawn at their locations. This is an issue for me because I liked the danger these areas created and it helped the wilds of Skyrim feel alive which was an improvement over Oblivions dead void wilderness: now with the respawns spawn pints broke Skyrims world feels dead.

Then there is the plant respawns, as an alchemist I use all effects and with certain plants not respawning all over the map not respawning it makes it difficult to find certain things. It's also annoying to sed dead plants which contribute to the whole dead world I mentioned above.

I also agree kill cams should have a toggle they glitch like crazy and its an annoyance sometimes.

For alchemy ingredients there is a workaround if you have Hearthfire.

You can plant all ingredients that would make sense to be plantable, apart from any added by DLC.

So you can plant nightshade but not Nirnroot and that makes sense lorewise as there is only one person in Skyrim said to be able to grow them.

You also can't plant things like butterfly wings and that makes sense from a realism point of view.

But for the simple but useful and rare plants like giant lichen, they grow fast and you get multiple specimens per harvest.

Fixes are better than workarounds though.

Believe me Merari I do use Hearthfire to help me out with this bug but this also contributes to the world being dead and it takes away from a game with gameplay flaws and lacking features I take issue with. (Like the magic system ugh)

I have one house for creep clusters because the burning tundra seems plagued with this bug and the burning tundra was where I went to find these clusters for my magic potions now they hardly grow anywhere there and I need these plants for my magic.

I agree that fixes are better and I have tried and tried since 1.3 to get the plant and wilderness respawns fixed.

There won't be a patch. Skyrim is done for and since you can't monetize on patches, it's not worth their time to make it. Now, Skyrim patches have added a lot of good stuff and fixed big bugs, but they also left out myriads of things that any skilled modder could fix in five minutes (refer to Unofficial Patch).

Bethesda should make a patch/update that includes most all of the content made in their gamejam week. Seriously, though, I want real spears, stop tip-toeing around it by saying "Oh, they're already in there. The Rieklings use them", because those are not spears.

And seasonal foliage would be nice as well.

Actually, just port the darn Creation Kit to consoles so that us console players can make our own additions to the game (legally, though I'm not sure how this works in the legal system) and download other people's mods through a browser page or something. To me, that would be awesome, though I'm sure it won't happen.

I'm also sure I just locked this thread with saying Creation Kit and consoles in the same sentence. Wasn't asking where to get them, just saying, "Wouldn't it be nice if we could get them".

Game Jam had a lot of nice ideas, i'd love to see more of it ingame. Also, I'm not sure how difficult it would be to port the creation kit over to consoles (if that's even possible) but if it is, that would be my wish for a final update.

I have tested multiple locations at set spawn points and they simply and sadly do not respawn with the patches since 1.3.

It is annoying in the fact that if I play this game unpatched the respawns work perfectly.
