* Please read this instruction carefully before installing this nod, many questions may have been answered here.
* Remember, always backup your files before installing a new mod.

What does this mod do?
* This mod enhances vanilla races with high resolution texture and replaces head mesh with head06 for Imperial, Highelf, Darkelf, Woodelf, Breton, Nord, Redguard, Goldensaint, Darkseducer and Dremora.
* Almost all textures of face, body, eyes and ears are replaced, and eyelashes are added.

Note
1. Most meshes and textures don't belong to me. I just collect them and put them together. However, I modified many textures to make them look better. That means, many textures in this mod are unique.
2. All credit belongs to original authors.
3. Though Darkseducer, Goldensaint, Dremora, Vampire and even Sheogorath are enhanced as well, they remain non-playable.
4. This mod uses Robert Male and TGND Female body.
5. Some textures are quite big. This mod will consume about 400MB VRAM. If you want to install QTP3, AEVWD or other big mod, video card with more than 1G VRAM is recommended.
6. Textures have been compressed as much as possible, so it's NOT recommended to compress them again via tools like DDSopt which may make textures lose details.

Requirement
1. http://obse.silverlock.org
2. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097
3. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40532
4. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30914(or other body compatible with Exnem female body series, such as HGEC or DMRA.)
* If you don't know how to install those body mods, you can use the file I prepared for instant play.

Installation
1. Install Robert Male body. *Do NOT use esp file from Robert Male. (You can skip this step if you choose to install the body meshes provided by ABC)
2. Install TGND Female body. *Must use the esp file from TGND.
3. Double click to run the omod file, and install it via OBMM.
4. Set the load order of Vanilla_Race_Overhaul.esp to bottom via OBMM.
5. Set the body meshes gloss value to 100 via niftool. (Not necessary but recommended. You can skip this step if you choose to install the body meshes provided by ABC)

Incompatibility
Definitely incompatible with other mods which change mesh or texture of vanilla races.
There are compatibility patches for some popular mods packaged in the omod file.

Q & A
Q1: Why are there redundant races in character creation menu?
A1: In order to separate male's face textures from female's, almost all races are duplicated, except Orc and Dremora. The names of duplicated male races are marked '(Male)'; they have heavier eyebrows and some of them have stubble.

Q2: Does male NPC have those male features as well?
A2: Yes, I assigned the male races to all vanilla male NPCs. However, male NPCs added by other mods won't have the features.

Q3: Why do the characters have googly eyes?
A3: Googly eyes happen when you install other mods which use different eye meshes. Please install this mod after any other mods, and set the load order to bottom via OBMM.

Q4: Why don't some NPCs have dialog?
A4: Please make sure you have installed OBSE, and set the load order of ABC to bottom via OBMM.

Q5: Why does the OBMM crash during installation?
A5: Your hard disk run out of space. At least 2GB free temp space are needed to install ABC. You can set the temp directory to appropriate hard disk via 'settings' button on OBMM panel.

Will ask a mod to place a [Relz] tag to this thread. Congrats on the release!

PS: Is there a BAIN install for those of us not into OBMM anymore?

Ahh very nice

My only criticism is the neck seems, my suggestion would be to try and make the face textures you made blend more with the included body textures if possible

I forgot to tag it, thank you and thanks to moderator.
I will make a BAIN version later.

With respect to incompatibility: "Definitely incompatible with other mods which change mesh or texture of vanilla races."

Technically it's also going to be incompatible with mods that alter things beyond meshes and textures of vanilla races, right? For example, if a mod alters the stats of a race you'd need a patch for that mod to ensure the males pick up those stat changes? Since you're moving the males to a separate race entry, they're not going to pick up the stat changes made by the other mod (although presumably the females would)?

Exactly. I am afraid the side effect is unavoidable.

That's good to know. Although it's not expected to create patches for everything, the Race Balancing Project is a fairly popular mod that may be worth making either a patch or preferably an alternate .esp for.

Gosh... there are too many esp files in RBP, so I can't make patches for all of them. Which one is the most needed?

bgBalancingEVCore.esp is the main file, or there's a no SI version (both files are in the "00 Core" folder of the download). Everything else is optional.
