[RELz] Abhorsen Armor Modders' Resource

In short: the Abhorsen of Garth Nix's trilogy is an anti-necromancer, who wields a set of magical bells, an ancestral sword, and arcane knowledge to defeat necromancers and the Dead. This is a modders' resource, containing a set of Abhorsen armor as well as a physiqued bell bandolier. I have sat on this a long time. I had wanted to make a mod with it, but I haven't yet. I'd like this to see the light of day, though, so here it is as a resource.

This is more or less what I was going for:

I didn't manage to get flowing sleeves, though I did try adding some short ones. They clipped too badly with the original mesh, though, and I never fixed them. No sword, face (a charter-marked face would be cool and easy to make, though) or bells. I did have a bell mesh made at one point, but it's in MAX format and I don't have 3ds max installed right now. A male version would be nice, but I haven't seen any meshes that would work for one. It comes with a small test mod, but nothing's placed in game. Type the following to get the clothes (and they are "clothes" in the mod, you could swap them to armor in the CS, they're chainmail underneath):
player->additem, BD_abhorsenSkirtC, 1player->additem, BD_abhorsenTopC, 1player->additem, BD_topAndBandolierC, 1 %%% This the top including the bandolier, so it takes up fewer body parts. You probably want this one.player->additem, BD_abhorsenBandolierC, 1

Credit goes to NeoLiv for the top and skirt meshes, Garth Nix for inspiration.

One of these days I'll write a scripted spell mod, with anologues to the books' bells... maybe even an Abhorsen house. I even put together an octagonal room tileset, but I think I've lost it. Anyway, more ways to vanquish the undead could be cool, especially paired with one of the existing necromancy/undead mods.

It does look pretty good and nice work on that bandolier! My suggestion would simply be that the cloak needs more texture to it, it looks rather like latex right now. Maybe just an overlay for the blue area, and then rough up the belt or something?

You may be right. There's already some texture on the blue, it might be too fine to see very well. The belt doesn't have any at all, and it might look better roughed up. On the other hand, I kind of like the style as it is. One thing I don't like is the color of the pouches, I want to match them to the rest of the bandolier but the texture doesn't seem to take well to tinting.

Oh, please do if you ever get the time, it would be great to have a sword to go with the armor :) I feel that the Abhorsen books have serious videogame potential. Most of the bells could probably be scripted into Morrowind (the whole Death bit might be a little bit tricky, but not impossible). Heck, the continent it takes place on is a very large island, like Morrowind. TC anyone? I kid, of course. Still, would be cool.
