Ability: Dispel (2600) - what adds it?

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 1:00 am

I'm in the process of updating some mods and noticed that under Active Effects my char has:

Dispel 2600
Ability: Dispel (2600)

Anyone who has an idea what it is and what it does? Haven't noticed any effects from it, but haven't played much either lately.

EDIT: FormID Finder doesn't (seem to) catch Active Effects and neither does RefScope. So not sure how to identify it.

Abilities are actually added to your Spells list, in addition to the active effect entry. RefScope should show that.

It's not an a ability its a "buff" or a permanent enchantment, it might be a reward from a quest or it might be a glitch that you can get from quest items when your character gets completely stripped of his items thus the quest item stays but unequiped which results in having a permanent.
Can you tell us since when do you have this dispel enchantment on yourself?

I checked the spells and couldn't see any dispel spell besides the couple of dispel spells my char has bought/made. So can't find any corresponding spell.

I wonder if it's connected to KotN? My char is under the Damage Fatigue effect from the Curse of the Consumed part of the KotN questline. That's the only thing I can think of.

I'll load some earlier saves and check.

Damage Fatigue effect is supposed to be removed upon finishing the quests I think, it might be stuck?
I'll be waiting for your next post

I was able to pinpoint it rather exactly by loading earlier saves, as it was in a save after choosing a path during the SI mainquest but not in a save just minutes before. This made me suspect some glitch/bug in ZUAmberMadnessOverhaul and sure enough the ability was gone when loading my latest save w/o Zu's overhaul. Might have been something in the earlier release as I've updated since. Anyway, making a clean save without Zu's and activating it again fixed it. Thanks for the help! :)
