ability to make a "war party"

Post » Thu Mar 18, 2010 9:02 pm

ive been looking around and it seems theres a lot of fighting and war has broken out during the timeline of this game and as we all know recent gamesas rpg's (fallout and oblivion) have had recruitable companions. this begs the question can we make a war party of 3 or 4 npc companions and help out in the civil war?? personally i think this would be a great feature and it would fit fine with lore so what do you guys think??

While it'd be cool to have a hired squad of khajit assassin body guards it'd kind of kill the whole adventuring thing for me.

Unnecessary

Considering the past TES games and FO3 the war party you make won't be really worth it. Half the time the followers just get in the way and are not all that powerful in comparison to the players character and are of little consequence to enemies.

Most of the time they were just minor distractions to enemies (and most of the time they didn't even do that right) so there really is little point in them.

The occasional companion ala New Vegas would only add to the game, I think. Especially if these companions had their own story and fate to unravel. But it would have to balance well. Companions should not be mere cannon fodder with which to fling at your enemies like so much armed meat.
