Ability Resets(a bit much)

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:34 pm

Does anyone besides me find that losing an entire level is a bit much to change your ability's around? I grinded my way up to lvl 20 so I can make a cool guy with that Anger Shirt :D. Then from all my leveling to 20 I added skills here and there that later on I figure I don't really need this and that over this. So I reset my guy back a level to readjust and then in my appearance tab my anger outfits are locked up again.

I don't have a problem with it really. It's just I level'd up to get a certain look for my character thus forming who he really is going to be. Then losing that character appearance I've been reaching for to find a my playstyle.

I guess back to the grind :(

Also this is for xbox360 version.

It could always be worse... at least you can get all credits back while only losing 1 level. Its fair enough, and its not like gaining 1 more level takes forever.

I think its fair. Its not terribly difficult to go from 19 to 20.

Well I was also thinking for more of a competitive way of gaming. I can easily grind the levels back but I was thinking in more of way of like playing on Gamebattles or something. Got the look I wanted and then if I'm playing a division ladder and I need to change some ability's around for the next match. I'm cut out of x ability's because I gotta spend the time to get to 20 ya know.

It's really more of an issue for people that don't play with a team of players that they know(RL) or real well on XBL. If I have a 5 man team on a division ladder and I'm the dedicated medic, I can just max out all the medics ability and have extra left over ya know.

All it does is keep players hands tied. More of an annoyance.

I dont see an issue with it. Plan ahead... they let you make 10 custom guys! Start a new dude if you want to be a pimped out medic and operative and engineer and soldier....

At least they LET you sell those abilities in case you hate a few you pick. I hated the 3rd person perspective one, I was glad to sell everything, lose a level, so I could get other stuff.

Makes you have to be careful about what you choose. Besides, you can get to level 20 pretty fast in this game. :spotted owl:

Only thing that annoyed me was that when I dropped my level it relocked the gear I had unlocked. Gaining the level back was easy, but I didn't get to wear my outfit damn it.
