Be able to drink water?

I don't want health from water. I would prefer stamina as I think it makes more sense.

Since we can eat food and drink alcohol, it only makes sense that we could drink water as well. Though rather than having it restore health, I'd go with stamina myself. Obviously, this couldn't have been done in Fallout 3 since there was no stamina in that game, but in the Elder Scrolls, it can do that.

Fallout has Fatigue . . . which is just a misnomer for Stamina. I used Fatigue in my Weapon Effects for both my FO3 and NV Realism Tweaks . . . and I added Strain, which is my own version of Stamina (for getting tired when running or when over encumbered).

I agree, even if a hardcoe mode isn't put in, if this is you can just imagine that you have to drink and hunt / buy food to stay alive (although a hardcoe mode would be easier & clearer for & to the players)...

This is a bad idea, the point of it in Fallout is that its a trade off, you get health but also get rads.
In skyrim there would be no trade off and it would make potions a lot less valuable

The game that I specifically remember that did this before Fallout was Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, but I would like it on a much more submissed level.

Yeah, I think that you should be able to drink water from rivers, streams, lakes, ect, and maybe for a small health boost (i.e. fortify health) but a low health regeneration, with a limit on the health regeneration (like the super stimpack debuff for super stimpacks in Fallout: New Vegas that gives you a BAD effect if you try to stack too much (i.e., 2 or more). After, say, a few sips (5, for instance, if you have more than 50% of your health) or 10 (if you have less than 50% of your health), with health bonuses according to the amount you drank (i.e., the lower health you have, the more you can gain, but not to full health). This would also add a bit to 'realism' after combat, since after a good fight you'd be very thirsty from the exertion and sweating a lot of water out.

I doubt it would take much time to implement and I do think it would be a nice touch, so yes, I support it.

I think drinking water would be a nice RP element.
Healing water would be a no though.
How about a little Stamina buff for few minutes? Sounds fair enough?

I really don't see any reason for this.... So I'm going to go ahead and say no, I wouldn't mind not drinking water. Especially if it restored health.... Some aspects of FO and TES games should remain.... separate. (in my opinion)

Edit- After re-considering... I could see it working if it just restored fatigue. (or whatever Skyrim's equivalent for fatigue may be) And a chance to give a disease if you pick the wrong water source.

not really, water sources need knowledge to drink from, an adventurer would be far more wise then to just drink from the first river/lake they came across... a lot of people have died in the past from drinking such water after all. I wouldn't mind it however I just think it might make some things slightly annoying, like containers at water level...

I also want to be able to fill my bottle with water in some way, for example equipping an empty bottle in my right or left hand and "attacking" a body of (deep) water to fill it. Or simply in another way. This would allow me, with the help of cooking, to survive in Skyrims wilderness without visiting towns for food/bed/water. I'd hunt my food, gather fruits/vegetables/herbs and drink water from small rivers and underwater sources.

Why would water raise your health. Maybe your stamina a LITTLE bit (like 10% every hour), but makes no sense to raise health. Water is something people need IRL to keep alive, but it has no healking properties. It's just if you DON'T have it you get worse.

you should have to both eat and drink water, or else you eventually just die of starvation. you should also have to sleep evey now and again, or else your total fatigue starts getting stunted.
