Be able to name your horse?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:18 pm

Should we be able to name our horse this time?

I got quite attatched to my horse in Oblivion, I named him Hiru.. I think its a better name than 'my black horse'.

'but Dotirath, you can use shadowmere' not really.. shadowmere svcks.. I want a horse that can die.

I vote yes for horse naming.

I never agree with you, Do'Tirath. But for everything there is a first...
Yes to naming your horse.

I wasn't attached to my horse so I voted no. I don't really care if they allow you to do so.

I say lets us PC users have all the privileges we deserve. The Console allows us to name at will. :D
Nah but make it so you can, certainly.

you can see one in the windmill screenshot. That pretty much confirms theyre in.

It seems highly unlikely to include horses but not be able to ride them. It is not the bethesda way.

I always named my horse through the console, so yes, absolutely this should be accessible regularly. I always thought having horses un-namable was missing out on a huge opportunity.

They said they were working on it. But if mounts aren't good enough they won't include them. Pay attention to the interviews.

I would name My Horse, My Horse.

But the horse was just sitting there doing nothing. They could easily take it out. There were things in the Oblivion trailer that didn't make it into the final product. Bethesda said they really wanted to do horses right since games like RDR and others have done so well with horses and they want to live up to the standard.

If they do make it into the game, then yes, offer the option to rename your horse. I'd say let us name our weapons and armor too, if we want to.

Now that we are in Skyrim, land of the nords, my horse would be named Sleipner. Odin, king of the gods in the norse(ase) religion, 's horse.

Yes please.
I always named my horses anyway. Being able to name them for real would be great. There could be a pop-up screen when you buy one, with some details about it on and an option to enter a name.

There should be. I would like to, for sure. I don't plan on getting it for PC, however, not everybody has enough money for a comp good enough to run Skyrim.

I desire to care about my horse (should they be in the game) like I cared about my first car. Like my first car, I feel that I must name it if that bond is to mean anything.

Of course! It's not exactly a time consuming addition and it would be great to really feel like your horse is.. Yours. And I know horses aren't confirmed but I really expect them to be in. I would be surprised and disappointed if not.

I hope they have big furry draft horses!
