About Adventure Zones - hopes and fears

There is so much info right now about ESO. But Adventure Zones are still a huge mystery.

Adventure Zones are important because as nice as ESO is, after the first four months we will not be doing any more questing or leveling or 50+/++ content or Dark Anchors. It will all be PvP and Adventure Zones and we know nothing about AZs which scares me. If Adventure Zones svck, then it will only be PvP, and lets be honest, you can find really good AvAvA games for free and without a subscription. I know a lot of ESO funs would like to believe otherwise, but ESO cannot survive in the long run without good Adventure Zones (unless there is something else to do in PvE after the first three to four months that we dont know about, which is probably not the case). In fact the only long term PvE content that we know about are Adventure Zones (again if you know of some other content, feel free to state it).

Another thing that I find weird is that supposedly, players will be able to get the best gear from crafting. In other games, the best gear would only be available from Raids, which gave an incentive for guilds to try hard to complete the Raids. If the best gear is available from crafters, what role would Raiding (AZs) play, if any.

What would be even worse, would be if the materials to craft the best gear dropped from those Adventure Zones. Then people could just buy the best gear from crafters without doing any Raids at all. There would be a handful of guilds raiding and everyone else would buy the complete pieces from their crafters. Something like this would cause the Gold Farming population to explode of course. There is nothing easier than paying money to buy gold and then getting the best gear in the game for free without any effort or Raiding. Unfortunately no MMORPG has been able to eradicate gold farmers, so if you can just buy the best gear, then you can bet thats what a lot of people will do. Essentially, it would be similar to Pay to Win games, only instead of the game company people would just pay Gold Farmer to get the best gear.

I really hope ZOS comes forward with more information on Adventure Zones this week. We are TOO close to release for such a major feature to be a mystery.

I still find more gear in dungeons(upgrade mats) and adventure zones. And i bet a lot more mats. So yes it wil be worth going there. But they wont make it easy for you.

Now its up to you to find the best places to get the best stuf. And im afraid in 6 months also ESOhead.
