About Better Clothes

Stream errors in warnings.txt; things like "cant find foot part in something-something"....

... I realize this is apparantly a "harmless" error, but is there a way to do some tweaks on the Better Clothes mod to correct it? I've tried emailing a couple of people... no response.

Thanks.

Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that I have already checked that out ....
... it requires extenders.

Okay - I'll repeat my question; is there a way to do some tweaks on the Better Clothes mod to correct it?

In other words, TWEAK...

Alter the mod so that it is FIXED.

You're mistaken, the only dependency for that patch is Morrowind.esm and should load after the Better Clothes esp.

It's simply a matter of adjusting slot assignments for the shoes - download the patch, examine it in TESCS, then apply it's fixes directly to your copy of Better Clothes.

techy;

Thanks;

Basically: I've had Morrowind since 2002, but just recently got interested again (along w/ Oblivion); Purchased Morrowind GOTY and Oblivion GOTY last week. Started "catching up" and researching, checking out new mods, etc. Better Bodies was in its infancy when I last checked it out (no, not "Better Babies" hehehehehe ... infancy = version 1 or something when I last checked it out).

On that page for the better clothes patch, there is a line (something like) "Click here for the required extenders".

I DID try it, and got some kind of weird error (I forget what the error was).

HOWEVER, thanks for your suggestion... I WILL download it again, and COMPARE it to BC. This might lead to a solution.

It's no big deal, but I would like to eliminate that error stream.

Thank you.

(EDIT) Just downloaded and extracted it, its a small ESP, so I expect that will lead to a solution. Thanks.

In my opinion, the BC patch is useless.
It makes your Warning.txt look tidy, but it creates a graphical glitch in almost every single shoe, making them appear to have holes.
Besides, the warnings are harmless.

Notice everyone walking around with holes in their shoes now? The patch did that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but after testing this I found it to be true.

(and yes, I do have BB installed) :P

I agree with Pluto. The patch will create clipping issues with pretty much all the shoes, just to hide harmless warnings.
It's a bad trade imo.

Okay ... I think I have a GUESS as to what is happening (just a GUESS) ...

Better Clothes does things in order to make clothes that work better with Better Bodies ... otherwise there would be "clipping" (strictly speaking, this IS NOT "clipping" in the accurate sense, but I know what you mean ... so we will CALL IT clipping).

MY GUESS is that one of the things that it does; is that instead of completely replacing the shoes, it completely replaces the foot body parts, but does so in such a way that the game is trying to reference something that isn't there anymore (or rather, overidden by the mod).

In THAT case, I don't think I want to try fooling with it.

It would be more than "just a minor tweak".

Thanks for input - it's appreciated.
